I Hate How They Changed The Characters Around..Since When Was Freddy Krueger A Child Molester.. Totally Unnecessary Remake.

Actually, according to Wes Craven in several interviews, Freddy is a child molester and a child murderer.

The problem of the remake in that matter is that originally Freddy was essentially a child murderer and only very slightly hinted to be also a pedo, but the remake completely ditched the murderer aspect from the background story and made him a full-blown pedo. As in turned the character complertely around and ditched one of the most essential aspect of him. Becoming a film of very bad taste and low moral. Pedophilia isn't something to make enterainment of!

Well, I totally agree with bendaimmortal, but in some ways, it wasn't a HUGE waste of time...At least there was alot of blood xD
And yeah, as bendaimmortal said, the original Freddy was a child murderer, not a pedo!
They fucked up Freddy's character AND looks in the movie.

it was alright. But i didn't like how they switched freddy from being a janitor/factory worker who kills to a gardener/artist who rapes kids. Also the new nancy sucks. The original nancy was badass. So was the original kristen and alice.

the only good thing was that they kept glenn alive in the remake and the mother's death.

I like Robert better but i got to admit it its pretty good

I saw it in theaters when it came out, which was a huge waste of money. The story was totally messed up and it was very dependent that you knew the plot of the original movies.

I LOVE it.

Freddy Krueger was never meant to be a child molester, that was just Wes Craven's original idea (that he didn't actually put in the movie). The remake was terrible, in my opinion.
