It wouldn't be Debbie the librarian; it'd be Debbie the forest ranger. She rescues orphaned pups Kate and Humphrey and raises them as her own, and her fellow forest rangers are zaidi au less fine with her arrangement. All this exposure to human civilization via Debbie and her Marafiki allows Kate, Humphrey, and their eventual offspring to learn about pop culture references and such. One night, curious little runt gets separated from them somehow, the other pups try to get him back nyumbani before their parents find out, and their parents have to go out looking for THEM afterwards. They all have their own series of adventures, all converging with them meeting a FERAL mbwa mwitu pack out in the wild. The pack is welcoming of these strange newcomers, and the Kate-Humphs are excited to meet OTHER Mbwa mwitu loups for the first time in their lives.
Then come the end of the movie, they have to make a choice; do they rejoin their mbwa mwitu brethren in the wild, au do they return nyumbani to their loving mother, Debbie?
