Being perfectly frank, there is a LOT of bad fanfics out there. In the fandoms that I really love, I've seen all kinds of writing styles and the levels of sexual content, though somewhat lower than I had feared, are still quite prominent. Honestly, there are some fanfictions that make me wonder why they got so many reviews. The good ones that interest me are few and far in between, and I really have to respect the people who write them.

All in all, I find fanficting to be a fantastic hobby, and I don't mean that just because I do it myself. I like the idea of a bunch of people writing their hearts out on an anime they like, just to express themselves. Even if they're trashing my favorite character or misrepresenting a character to the point that it pisses me off, at least they're writing what they want. Just being able to see how the rest of the fandom sees certain characters and how events are taken and interpreted is a pretty big plus for me. I just hate having to LOOK for good fanfics, since it's time consuming and I often read things I would have been better off not reading...

I tend to read a lot of Fanfiction's on Anime and Manga. I have even made some myself, like some DBZ ones.

Depends on how it's written.

The vast majority is awful, but I can't say I dislike it for that. It can be done well, and I appreciate a good one when I see it.

Most are pretty awesome, and some aren't.
I hate the ones with people and their OC's and every characters likes their OC.

When a fan-fiction is written well, then they tend to be amazing, particularly when the person has a good imagination and a creative mind behind it.

I don't care for fanfictions that much, they are pretty much there to give eye candy and fanservious. Which I hate. Also a lot of them really screw up the characters, making them really out of character. But that goes for pairing fanfics more. But all in all, I'd say I dislike them or are neutral with them.

There are probably a few good fanfics out there, but every one that I have read has been rubbish. To be honest, I think it is extremely hard/impossible to ever capture a character's personality nearly as well as the original artist or author, even if you are a great writer. And then as pumpkinqueen said some people include excessive fanservice etc...

I like fan fiction when it's well written. I like fan fiction that portrays the characters well. I like fan fiction when it twists the story and fixes bad storyline. I like fan fiction that is set in an alternate universe. Overall, I like to see how writers portray the characters and ships. After all, fan fiction gives writers the chance to fix what they see wrong with the plot and to expand on another author's world. It's helps writers, both amateur and professional, practice and the ability to share their writing with other people.

I Would have said "Indifferent" or "Not usually" though it isn't that I totally dislike, I just have not found the ones I have seen to be something I would like or take time to read.
