Hmmm... I can suggest something that made me cry. I'm not sure if it would have the same effect on you. Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni? It's really violent, but it's amazing. Probably not the sort of thing you're looking for, but I cried a lot watching it ^^;

FRUITS. FREAKING. BASKET. I read the manga before watching the anime and I honestly must say that the anime made me cry more. Mainly because I cried whenever the theme song played and the main reason why I cried in the manga was because I was laughing so hard.
