Definitely Serial Experiments Lain. I don't care what anyone else think anymore, that anime was an absolute masterpiece. It offered me zaidi chakula for thought than anything else I've ever seen, au even anything I've read. I swear, I could go on for hours about this . . .

Serial Experiments Lain is in fact one of the few anime series that I would feel comfortable regarding as a "masterpiece", and I personally find it to be one of the most [i]beautiful[/i] series that I have encountered. I can even "connect" (that was a pun alright) to the series personally in its meaning because I've been struggling with addiction to the internet / computer and making it a "world of its own" in my life.
