Who's the most maarufu anime character?

I don't think there's a specific 'most maarufu character's although there are some nearly everyone at least recognizes

- Naruto (Naruto/Shippuden)
- L (Death Note)
- Lelouch (Code Geass)
- Luffy (One Piece)
- Ichigo (Bleach)

The three I know of that had the Most Hyped and Well-Loved anime characters that are Critical Acclaimed are

Monkey D. Luffy (One Piece)
Naruto Uzumaki (NARUTO)
L Lawliet (Death Note)

The anime characters with the most awesomeness are:

Goku (Dragon Ball Z)
Yusuke (Yu Yu Hakusho)
Inuyasha (Inuyasha)

I think L Lawliet is the most maarufu character.
