Ariana and Grandpa Grande can celebrate the news that he is cancer-free. Ariana herself tweeted the health update on Friday, which led Arianators to trend #GrandpaGrandeKickedCancersAss on Twitter.

Ariana Grande has more than one reason to celebrate this Friday. Not only does she have one of the most popular songs in the country, but the starlet’s 90-year-old grandfather has beaten cancer. Grande shared the happy news herself on Twitter.

And Ariana Grande has also shown plenty of love for Grandpa Grande during his illness. The singer posted a tribute to her grandfather earlier this year in honor of World Cancer Day.

Ariana Grande also canceled a planned appearance at a Hollister House event last month in order to be with her ailing Grandpa Grande.

This tweet worried Ariana Grande’s fans, and they quickly tweeted their prayers for Grandpa Grande. Ariana then told her followers that her grandfather appreciated the support in his fight against cancer.

But Ariana Grande does not just show her love for her grandfather through social media. The “Problem” singer recently got a tattoo of the word “bellissima,” which was apparently Grandpa Grande’s nickname for her when she was a child.

Grandpa Grande even inspired one of his granddaughter’s songs. Ariana revealed last year that the tune “Daydreamin” from her album

was based in part on her grandfather and Nonna. The end of the song, which features lyrics like, “You walked in / Caught my attention. / I’ve never seen / A man with so much dimension,” even includes Grandpa and Nonna Grande talking about how they met.
