Elena walked into the jikoni and froze in her tracks. It was a mess! Dishes were piled high in the sink and there was grim covering the floor, which was buried under a foot of trash.
“Might as well get to work,” Elena said. She pulled a Persian blue ribbon from around her neck and tied her hair back. She grabbed all the jikoni cleaning supplies from the closet and got to work.
First, Elena loaded all of the dishes into the dishwasher and started it. It will be done kwa the time I finish everything else, she thought.
