As a science class, yes. It would make no sense teaching it as a science, as it isn't a science. As a religious class or anything related, it would be appropriate.

I do think it should be addressed somewhere in the education system, but definitely not a science class.

We learn about different religions in global studies, but it's just ridiculous that they'd put that in a science class. You might as well say that the Earth is flat, that the Earth shrinks and expands like a giant apple, that computers/TV/games corrupt the soul... actually nvm people still believe that last one.
