Kind of a weird question for this spot, I know. But you've got to admit, there are some pretty cool deities that people have made up over the years. I got pretty lazy on the list, so you guys can do all the work on adding more choices. Yeah, I know, I'm lazy. Deal with it.

I´m absolutelly allergic to all kinds of religion.

I've always had a soft spot for the Greek gods, but maybe that's because through time they've become more mythical creatures than actual gods people believed in. Who knows, maybe in a thousand years time people will study the bible as interesting fiction, like we do now with Greek myths.

Anyway, I like gods that come from pantheons, they are usually much more interesting and human than the gods from monotheistic religions.
And they got up to all kinds of crazy shit, like Zeus randomly kidnapping girls and boys who he fancied.

Artemis has always been my favorite from the Greek pantheon, because she's so FIERCE. One of the very few feministic gods, at least the few that I've heard of. She would rather die than to subject herself to a man, and basically spent her whole life just doing her own thing in the woods with a posse of other fierce girls.

I think if you're gonna make up something, give it some style, and go all out with it. That's why I don't like the deities from current religions. They're to bland, and need some character. I like the ones from Greek and Roman empires probably the best.

In respect to worshiping, I think it's all bs.

But I love the stories people make up. Especially the ancient Geeks and Hindus. I just love the symbolism in the representation of the dancing Shiva so very much, being the art nerd I am.

I love Artemis as well though. And Athena too, of course. You know, the Greeks knew how to tell a good story. (The Romans too, but they took a lot from the Greeks.)

I really like Old Norse kind of gods as well but Hades is my favourite because he gets to rule the Underworld and have a three headed dog!

I've always loved Greek myths, and actually there are lots of cool gods...I have a soft spot for Hades though... :( poor Hades, getting stuck ruling the Underworld forever just because he drew the short straw. And then he's stuck there all bitter and brooding and sexy, and then they won't even have his woman Persephone without lots of trouble! Hahaha I may be adding things to the myth in my head...

I think the Norse gods are my favorite. I like Loki a lot too, but Thor just takes the cake.

Dude i can't even choose there are so many! I love the Greek gods like Artemis, Athena, Hera, Apollo, Eris and Poseidon. But there are amazing egyptian gods as well like Isis, Horus, Ra, Hanthor.

Then there are the norse gods, Thor rocks but Odin has done so many crazy awesome things and Loki sounds cool to!

I know it may sound strange, but I like ancient gods, not only Egyptian, but also Greek and Norse :) And of course characters from Kalevala - Terhenetär :)

i could never understand why zeus who threw lightings from the sky is considered mythology but a god who does almost the same thing is for the most people reality... :S

Even though Artemis was presented as more of a man-hater than an actual feminist, she was still better than the usual female role models of that era.

I'm a lot like Artemis (except for the whole swear-off-guys thing- I love guys!). Proud, independent, gorgeous (and humble... JK!!!!)
