Language?

It bothers me, but not to a "f*ck yes* extent...

It only bothers me when they're trying to tell me about it. It's a free country, they can talk about the wonders of god if they want.

Um... Kinda depends how they are talking about religion... Religious fanatics, by definition, probably talk about religion in a fanatical way. But if they are respectful, then that is fine by me. If not, then thats uncool.

Not usually. It only bothers me when they try to make be "believe" or whatever. Its a free country, and as the American Constitution ( I think it says this, sorry I'm French and correct me if I'm wrong) That every one has the freedom of religion.

No one has the authority to force religion upon anyone. Not even a parent to a child.

However HATE speech is not protected as FREE speech.

That being said...I'm Canadian...so I'm not sure.

Hate speech is protected as long as it's not an incitement to violence. As you can imagine, this can be a pretty blurry line. I'm not enough of a nerd to provide case citations, but I do know that recently in the US that that "religious" group that pickets soldiers' funerals is protected under the 1st Amendment, w/some restrictions regarding how close they can stand to the mourners.

I have been subjected to rambling religious arguments against anyone and anything that even slightly varies from the speaker's views. The most memorable was when a neighbor expressed her view that AIDS was indeed god's punishment against gays. This was back in 1984--when it was still viewed as a "gay" disease.

Otherwise, I sometimes get a perverse pleasure out of hearing these diatribes!

Oops...I wasn't trying to offend--being relatively new here, I don't know what being stoned in this context means! I seriously wasn't trying to be mean. Sorry if my tone was off.

Oh I wasn't offended. I was saying "ouch" to AIDS as a punishment for gay people.

Being stoned sucks. It's when people throw rocks at you...

i'm in religious univercity (it's a long story :/) so when i'm telling someone that i'm an atheist they are like: "i'm not trying to convert you but bluh bluh jesus love us bluh bluh christianity is about love bluh bluh"etc and i'm asking them if they have ever read holy bible (especially old testament) and well... you can guess the answer

Not really, I mean everyone has a right to their own beliefs. Just because I am an atheist doesn't mean I hate all religion and find people who follow them irritating.
As long as they're respectful and not trying to force their beliefs on me it's okay.

It only irritates me when they try (and are at least somewhat successful) at forcing their beliefs on others. For example, banning gay marriage.

Usually I just find it amusing. I've been trying to limit my trolling but sometimes I just can't help myself. There is a Planned Parenthood where I live and sometimes it has anti-abortion protesters outside. Whenever they are there I drive past slowly with my windows down and my radio up playing everywhere I go by hollywood undead. If you listen to the song you'll understand.

I know I can be a bit of a douche sometimes...

Mostly when they're using it to slut-shame, victimize, and put down people who have either been hurt intimately or repeatedly or have nothing wrong with them.

When they talk about things in a positive light, it's fine.

Yes. I cringe everytime someone says something like, "God is good" or "Trust in God" and all of that. I hate it. I don't even know why, but it makes me feel even worse about myself, like I'm not even angry anymore....it just makes me sad.
