The author didn’t sell it to Disney, he sold it to Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer(they were gonna intend a philosophical approach), but after failed special effects they passed it to Disney. But Disney targets kids merchandising and is especially now known for its “saccharine reputation”. Oh but it is the cutesy stuff they put in the film like “BIRD!” and ice skating that made Bambi a laughing stock to standard public. Also, how much merchandise do you see of adult Bambi? That’s kids merchandising, it has to be ‘cute’. And the author didn’t go so well with Disney in the end when he reluctantly sold rights to the character name and Disney would not allow to ever write of story of Bambi ever again due to living in exile in Switzerland. Disney would be lucky that I grew up with several Disney films so while I do find them to have always been clowns, they’re like my clowns and that’s why I still follow them. :P But downright I don’t fall for anything like you guys cause Disney does live up to its reputation and they are not ‘normal’.

Heya, apologies for the late reply but it seems like you're trying to respond to the author of this article, who is unlikely to see this information here. (This article is also from 2011 so, while it is still available online, I'm not sure how active the author still is.)

The author of this article goes by the penname "Okapina" and this links to a Wordpress article. Admittedly I've never used Wordpress myself so I can't spoonfeed directions on how to contact them etc. but am putting it out there that I can do nothing for you as it's not my article. I'm merely a distributor who simply read it, found it interesting and therefore shared it here for others to read.

I'd advise that you perhaps re-read the linked article before any attempts to contact them (to ensure that your comments are relevant to this specific piece) and good luck if you do manage to get in touch!
