Chapter Two:
“Get up,” Tokli was at my door. The sun cast a warm glow into my room. I stretched and yawned. I got out of my kitanda and then walked into the jikoni for breakfast. I could smell the ramen, mashua from the dakika I left my room.
Zazu was already at the table. He had an empty bowl sitting in front of him. My mom was doing dishes so I assumed everyone had already eaten.
