"The mystery of our time is the inability of decent people to get angry."-- Eric Hoffer

I'm going to ask wewe a swali right now, and wewe can feel free to answer honestly. Do wewe consider yourself a feminist?

After kusoma the responses to _lina_'s link, I decided to remind everyone here, particularly women in the western world, what feminism today is really about.

Modern women in Europe and North America enjoy a multitude of freedom that often goes underappreciated. Women today are afraid to call themselves feminists because of the negative stereotypes associated with that word. Before I talk...

I admit I loved Disney Princesses as a little girl, I collected stickers and pictures of my vipendwa (Belle and Ariel and Cinderella) and have a lot of the movies.

But one curious thing I started to notice about Disney sinema as I got older was that there were usually no mothers around, it was almost always a single dad and his daughter trying to get by. If there was a female adult, she was an awful stepmother au a wicked witch.

Here is a orodha of Disney sinema (and many of these are based on folk tales and Grimm fairy tales, but they are the ones Disney seems to like to make sinema of...) where...

A mothers whisper

In the night when your fast asleep.
Precious eyes closed…and in a beautiful dream.
wewe hear a whisper…a soft gental sound.
wewe smile…and laugh..nowing mother is around.
Trying not to wake up from this dream of yours.
It makes wewe feel safe….all nice and warm.
wewe feel a nice, soft, warm hand on your head.
Mother cries…..is she dead?
wewe try to songesha to tell her you’re alright.
But wewe cant songesha at all that night.
Mother sings me a beautiful ryme.
I try to wake up…its about time!
I wanna feel her warm imbrass.
Is it really way to late….
I see an Angel up in the sky…
I see mother standing right by,
I walk to here and give her a hug.
Mother whispers…your in heaven my love(=
Some girls really hate themselves. They think there fat, au to skinny, au they have huge eyes, au they hate there acne. Every girl has a flaw about themselves. YOu wont find a perfect girl. But what i can say is that every single one of wewe girls are beatiful. Y? Because wewe were created kwa a wonderful god! He created wewe in his eyes. Think of yourself as a painting. YOu see the ones that look like a mess! well because they were made kwa a famous artist, there beautiful, and unique! LIke you! Whos to say wewe arent pretty? The boys? The other mean girls? Who made up the rule that being fat, or...

A long time ago, I wrote an makala on link, and the misconceptions about not calling yourself a feminist. Since it was so long, I highly doubt that it was read kwa its target audience, so I'm going to keep this one very short.

I won't repeat myself on detailing all the different schools of feminist thought, especially because I doubt you're interested. Instead, let me just say this: Feminism is like many religions au philosophies. Just as one person who calls herself a Christian can have vastly different maoni and beliefs kwa another calling herself a Christian, the same can happen with feminism....

This is for all the girls who have a mom.

Mothers…………..Ugh! They drive us crazy sometimes. They ground us for no reason, they yell at us for the littlest things, they imbarrise us, and wont leave us alone! Sometimes wewe just wanna yell and scream! Sadly wewe cant do that to your mother. But what wewe can do is prevent your mom from doing all these things. Before I give wewe these tips, im gonna help wewe like your mother more. And have a beter relationship with her. Your mom gave birth to you. She fed you, kept wewe alive, and raised wewe to the beautiful,...

One Flaw In Women

By the time the Lord made woman,
He was into his sixth siku of working overtime.
An Angel appeared and said,
"Why are wewe spending so much time on this one?"
And the Lord answered, "Have wewe seen my spec sheet on her?
She has to be completely washable, but not plastic,
have over 200 movable parts, all replaceable
and able to run on diet koki and leftovers,
have a lap that can hold four children at one time,
have a kiss that can cure anything from a scraped knee to a broken heart
-and she will do everything
with only two hands."

The Angel was astounded at the requirements.
"Only two hands!?...

On the Privilege of Being a Woman

January 14, 1997
New York Catholic foramu Lecture
- Simone de Beauvoir, in The sekunde Sex, wrote that women hate their bodies. Women are physically weaker, less clever, have less power and prestige. For men, procreation is a moment of physical ecstasy, whereas women suffer the discomfort of pregnancy and the agony of childbirth.

- Feminism is a metaphysical revolt against the characteristics of women. Men seem to have all the advantages, and so feminists try to become a caricature of men.

- Historically, women have been looked down on....

This is mainly directed toward those who feel they are too small. I have no experiance with the other side of the issue.

I get somewhat annoyed and insulted when girls talk negatively about their small breast.
Girls wearing a size C think they're flat chested.. I always considered C to be large, but what do I know?

Girls cry over size B

Little girls saying "I'm worried about my body development. I'm 11 years old and I'm only a C cup"

I am small.. I've never come across anyone my age (20) of similar size au smaller than me and I'm not at all exaggerating. Everyone who I see complaining about their...

WOMAN'S PERFECT BREAKFAST

She's sitting at the meza, jedwali with her gourmet coffee.
Her son is on the cover of the Wheaties box.
Her daughter is on the cover of Business Week.
Her boyfriend is on the cover of Playgirl.
And her husband is on the back of the maziwa carton.

WOMEN'S REVENGE

"Cash, check au charge?" I asked, after folding items the woman wished to purchase. As she fumbled for her wallet, I noticed a remote control for a televisheni set in her purse. "So, do wewe always carry your TV remote?" I asked. "No," she replied, "but my husband refused to come shopping with me, and I figured...

1.) Eat Chocolate. chokoleti helps wewe have less stress which will make wewe feel better when having PMS.

2.) Try not to act like wewe are having your Premenstrual Syndrome. Such as, walking like something is wrong with your pad/tampon. Act like wewe have nothing wrong with wewe and act natural. Then, no one will know.

3.) When coming back from school/work, go to bed. Laying down helps your period and lets it go zaidi smoothly so wewe won't have a delay in your usual period time. It also helps wewe relax.

4.) Be careful to not jump so much. It'll make all the blood come out faster and it'll make wewe feel, a bit uncomfortable.

5.) Change your pad/tampon daily au hourly.

3. My mother taught me about TIME TRAVEL.
"If wewe don't straighten up, I'm going to knock wewe into the middle of inayofuata week!"

4. My mother taught me LOGIC.
"Because I alisema so, that's why."

5. My mother taught me MORE LOGIC.

If I was aliyopewa the choice I would still prefer to be a woman, I believe in equal rights however being a woman is a great thing, there's nothing like having a girls night in (or a girls night out) Watching chick flicks (no matter what age wewe are) being independent, as I have found since I am 'happily' divorced from my ten plus mwaka marriage, now I'm enjoying being a woman zaidi than ever. I can do what I like and being in charge of 'the remote' is great, I understand that 'some' people have experienced messy divorces au choose to be in a relationship, but I'm just happy to embrace my 'new life' and I'm loving it, it would be great to have a 'being single' spot (if there isn't one already)
Being a woman to me is:
Changing my hair color whenever I want.
Dressing up au being bummy and enjoying it.
Being feminine.
Watching a 'chick flick' with a glass of red wine and good quality chocolate.
And many, many other things that would take me forever to write.

Finding you! And your goal in life(=

You are you. wewe came into this world for a purpose, and god has a plan and goal for wewe to achieve in life. Sometimes though its hard to find that one thing that god has put wewe down on earth for. To find it wewe really need to look at yourself, and your dreams, goals, and what wewe upendo . Look at your talents. Growing up as a teenager, life is rough. There is soo much drama, and school, and pure pressure! wewe need to block that out of your life, and focas on what your going to do when your older, and your goal and purpose for being on earth. Because what...

If wewe are one of those kids, send me a story and I will make sure to help you(= Y in the world do they bully!? I will tell wewe y. 1. Because it lifts them up, it gives them power. My story. The life of me…….

Hey everyone My name is addi ( addisyn) but I just like addi. I am 16 years old and I was born on January 1. I have 9 other brothers and sisters. I also have an identical twin. My life is very complicated, and I desided to share it with others who would like to hear. When I was young, I was raised to be strong, and to work my hardest, and never to give up. I was in gymnastics at the age of 6, cheerleading at the age of 6, swimming when I was 14, karate when I was 9, and dance when I was around 7. This was the dream for me! I loved what I did! My mom was a stay...

Just a warning, I’m really weird about talking about this kind of stuff, so I may seem a little immature here.

I know that there are many females of various ages who suffer from the dreaded menstrual cramps (I hate the word “period” when used in this sense, so I’m going to avoid it as much as I can)

There are a few ways wewe can get rid of the cramps once they start, but I personally, would rather avoid them all together. What I do to achieve this is very VERY simple. This may sound a little disgusting to some of you, and it’s a little awkward for me to share, but the best thing to do...
