Original Being Human cast to return? Aidan Turner, Russell Tovey and Lenora Crichlow up for reunion

Their characters all ended up in the afterlife so the revival would have to be based in the afterworld according to Russell

Aidan Turner is best known for his role as Poldark in the BBC drama but he seems pretty interested in reviving his vampire character in Being Human.

Speaking at the London MCM Comic Con the actor joined his former co-stars Russell Tovey and Lenora Crichlow to talk about the BBC Three supernatural drama.

Asked whether they would consider a reunion for a special all three were in agreement that it could be a good idea.

However, there are some slight issues in that all three actors - who departed the show before it finished in 2013 - all ended up in the afterlife.

Aidan left the show in 2011, Russell starred as a werewolf until he quit after the fourth series to focus on his other television series Him & Her, and Lenora who played a ghost also left after series four.

Luckily Looking star Russell had given the revival some thought and suggested during the panel: "A special would be kind of fun, wouldn\'t it.

"Like, a one-off? A Christmas special in Hell - that\'d be fun, wouldn\'t it?"

"Everyone\'s gone to Purgatory or Hell or Heaven, so it\'d have to be in the afterworld. We\'re all there. Maybe it\'s just a replica in the afterworld and we just carry on."

A bearded Aidan also admitted during the panel that he had never watched his last episode because it was so emotional.

Lenora said when she first read the script that she found the premise of the supernatural characters living together a bit strange: "I wasn\'t too impressed.

"But when I read the scripts I could see how each character was very much a human character, and that their supernatural tendencies were all parallels for something a bit more human - like addiction, and OCD, and anger issues."

Rusell added: "Toby Whithouse\'s writing was so deep and nuanced... and the characters were so beautiful, and these relationships were so emotional and heartfelt and honest... that\'s what got you into it."
