	whiteflame55 picked Yes,she is not that important: The series DESPERATELY needs real tragedy, and Hinamori is essential only for that purpose. Let's face it: she's not a good fighter, and she's acting only as a distraction for a lot of the main characters at this point who are wondering whether she's even gotten over Aizen (obviously, she hasn't). What she does have is deep connections to Hitsugaya and several other characters. The only characters who have died so far are either hollows or defected Soul Reapers, people that may be missed, but aren't real tragedies (at least, not to the central characters who play the biggest plot roles in the series - you could argue that Orihime was affected by Ulquiorra's loss and that Rangiku was deeply affected by Gin's loss, but those are individuals who really only play side-roles). I'd say that attachment is better reason for her to die. I agree, that attachment is important, as is her attachment to many characters in Soul Society, but for some reason, she's practically immortal, despite the fact that her death might actually serve a purpose in ensuring that the series evolves. Right now, all she is is the girl who wont die who Toushiro cares deeply about. The fact that she survived what were obviously deadly strikes, mainly due to the organ regrowth machine they introduced specifically for her sake, just seems absurd to me. If there's a reason, then the simple way to manage it is simply not to have her injured in such extensive ways.
