It was a load of crap. I mean, it was like it was written by a 5-year old. 'And then I woke up...' Hodgins was great in it, very funny but for the rest of it, incredibly dull and irrelevant. I feel jibbed. As Cladra said, I expected more.

I'm glad they didn't sleep together tho. Ha ha ha. Actually, considering the end of season 3, and the shaky first half of season 4, and now the end of season 4, I think this show is at risk of jumping the shark. Seriously. Maybe they should have just slept together and got it all over with. Then I wouldn't feel compelled to keep watching a show that is getting worse and worse.

I'm thinking about a theory that came out a few days ago. The episode was like a look into the future, hence the name "The End in the Beginning". So Hart Hanson was right- it wasn't a dream nor was it a hallucination. It was very real. However, it just hasn't happened yet ;)

I think it was a good twist, it just really sucks that we have to wait like 4 months on the reaction of Brennan and an explanation if Booth really doesn't know who she is, or if it's just some babbling because he can't tell what's real and what's not..

I liked the fantasy parts a lot! But it wasn't expected at all! And if it was any other episode it would be very good, but HH promised us a REAL thing and it was everything FAKE (not the love though, but yet). And the end? It looked like those mexican soap operas!

Well thats what I'm saying though. Technically it's not fake if it WILL happen.

Okay so I loved every minute!! except for the last two.. i mean WHAT THE *^&*&#% hell???! Hart blantally lied about the sex being real on many occasions and apparently was gonna have serious outcomes but we were ALL led to believe that it wasn't a dream...and the amnesia..oh yeah SOOO original..this summer is gonna be so long. lets just say I haven't felt that disppointed before in a long time when I watched the credits go by after the show.. I actually waited to see if it was longer or if it wasn't over

I'm so pissed off that I do NOT plan to watch next season. This was pure S***!

I don't see how it can be a look into the future because there were too many things that wouldn't fit with that...

I don't get what that was all about.
Here is my theory:
I think that after several seasons, the pressure is on the producers to get the main characters of certain shows together. House & Cuddy, Booth & Bones, Tony & Ziva...those would be my favorites. I think that in the case of the first two, they decided to give the fans what they want in a sub-reality sort of thing. That way they are giving the fans a taste of what they want, but not actually giving them what they want and thus, throwing the "Moonlighting" curse down on their shows.
House and Cuddy were a halucination. B & B were some sort of dream..I don't know about Tony & Ziva yet...hmmm.

I guess Bones wasn't horrid, but it was totally away from what I was expecting. I am sure we all know it won't take more than about 3 episodes next fall for Booth to remember Bones. In the steps forward, we take steps back...much like House who now sits through the summer in a mental hospital.

I saw it online the first time and was screaming I hated it so much.

And now I'm like: THAT WAS SO AMAZING AND AWESOME AND I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT WAIT TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS NEXT YAYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And someone had a theory that he was wondering if she was Bren, his wife, night club owner; or if she was Bones, greatest partner in the world, forensic anthropologist. Like, he was so confused and just didn't know what he was supposed to do. Because it was just SO REAL. Like, yeah, I love her, but which ONE? It was a good theory, my next fanfiction will be based on it.

i felt so jibbed!! especially by the ending. i kinda enjoyed seeing the rest of the cast in different but similar roles but for the most part it felt like i was watching bad fanfiction come to life!!!! and if the amnesia is real, i'm going to implode....then create the Hart Hanson Haters club

Ok, I feel a little bad about how strongly I dissed the episode, I agree that if it wasn't a finale it wouldn't have been half-bad (excluding the first and last scenes) but seriously, the 'hot sex' scene at the beginning? Sh*t. I've seen more passionate shampoo ads.

Question: I took the episode (the fantasy aspects of it) as something Brennan was writing while waiting for Booth to come out of the coma. But judging from other peoples reactions, they took it as Booth's coma-dream... Did anyone else think it was Bren?

I also interpreted it as something that Brennan was writing.

Argh!! I dont really know what to think. It was a decent episode. But OMFG! Im annoyed that was the Season Finale. Im glad they didnt hook up for real cause i think the amazing thing about Bones is that Booth and Bren have never actually been together.

I liked that idea of maybe Booth wondering whether it was Bones or Bren when he said Who Are You. But argh. Its just a typical ending where someone wakes up from a coma with amnesia. >< When we learn about writing stories at school they tell us to make sure we dont write things like that but thats exactly was Hart did, and we are like 13-14 y.o But we may have still learnt that from about the age of 11.

Ugh. Pretty disappointed atm. Now I have to wait 4 months to find out what the hell happened.

i really do not know what to think. When i first watched it I was so angry but I also believe that it is what might happen later in their lives. I liked that they made Booth have amnesia, but they should have down that at tyhe beginning of the show . Unless it is a ploy for people to tune in the first episode and booth is just confused. I think that the season premier will be excellent. I hated the whole dream sequence, I found very boring and confusing.. But I still love Bones and will still hope that they get together for real and soon. I really do not think that putting them together would hurt the shoe at all, it will have new situations...

Maybe this is just my opinion...but you guys need to chill out. This is what writers do, they've done this before. Like with Zack being Gormogon. They write something that maybe pisses some people off to build suspense and all that jazz. Like it or not, you're going to watch next season to see how this all plays out. Its a ploy. We all got over the Zack thing. This is the same general idea. They're trying to get ratings, which is what is going to happen. Don't hate on Hart Hanson.

Exactly what I was thinking thirdperson. I admire Hart Hanson for writing the episode like this. I mean seriously he's got at lest a million(literally)pissed off Bones fans mad at him now! And they can be pretty lethal let me tell you. And yet he still wrote that episode. But the finale was really great so I'll trust him to make it even better in season 5.

So, what's sad is I'm getting better at figuring things out too soon. I originally thought (after seeing the promos) that Booth had gotten through the surgery ok. However, a few minutes in and I knew that he was probably dreaming during the surgery or something. I was SOOO GLAD that Zack was back for an episode, though, even if it was ~fake~. However, they did catch me off guard with the amnesia thing. It's one of the best episodes of the season.

And I did enjoy seeing Sweets rockin out to Dr. Feelgood........... XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

I was waiting and waiting and Then I get this....Come On! I also hated the beginning! I so agree with ebathory!

I was so ticked off for like the 1st 5o min!! I had no idea what was going on. I watched the promo, I watched and read interviews, AND I read spoilers! I guess nothing really clicked with me that this wouldn't be a "normal" episode. But when they finally got to the end I was like "there we go". I mean now I know what Hart was talking about with "giving the fans what they want and still not destroying their chemistry", but it was just weird... still entertaining... but weird. (and they didn't play the opening theme!! WTH!!)

At first I hated Hart Hanson but then I realised that it was actually a clever piece of writing because none of us saw it coming.

I'm still confused and dissapointed and feeling numb after the whole of it... But I wont jumb on a HHH wagon, lol! I will wait patiently for my explanations, that will OF COURSE MAKE SENSE, and they better come next season!!!

A hot mess is what it was. Bones is no longer the show I loved in Seasons 1 and 2, they've given up actual plots, story lines and working on the characters to push the B&B relationship. And I swear if next season Booth is just kidding about not knowing who Bones is, I'm done because they are really jacking story lines then.

I was a bit undecided on the pick. I admit I hated this at first and I'm still not a big fan of most of it. BUT now I can see that the couple in the sex scene is not the same couple that wakes up (or at least they're not in the same room) I'm curious. I admit I had to have this ponted out as I hadn't noticed the different bedside tables but now I know I'm thinking 'The End in the Beginning' so is the couple in the sex scene Bones and Booth as they end up? Not sure but like I said its got me curious.

i have to say with about 95% of the show being a dream it was really kind of a waste of an episode

I have never watched a more disappointing episode of bones! after all the hype, this is what we get?! and I am so over the whole amnesia thing... it's been done so many times & it's just another plot device to delay them getting together!! I'm a loyal fan, and after that, I just feel so cheated... really hope they come up with something amazing in season 5 to make up for it! don't think I could stand to watch a whole season where booth doesn't even remember brennen!!
