Severus Snape is a fictional character in the Harry Potter book series written kwa J.K. Rowling. In the first novel of the series, he is hostile toward Harry and is built up to be the primary antagonist until the final chapters. As the series progresses, Snape's character becomes zaidi layered and complex. Rowling does not fully reveal the details of his true loyalties until the end of the final book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Over the course of the series, Snape's portrayal evolves from that of a malicious and partisan teacher to that of a pivotal character of considerable complexity and moral ambiguity. Snape primarily teaches Potions at Hogwarts, though in the sixth novel he teaches Defence Against the Dark Arts, a position which he was known to have desired throughout the series. He ultimately becomes Headmaster of Hogwarts in the final novel. Rowling has described him as "a gift of a character".

Heathcliff is a fictional character in the novel Wuthering Heights kwa Emily Brontë. Owing to the novel's enduring fame and popularity, he is often regarded as an archetype of the tortured Romantic hero whose all-consuming passions destroy both himself and those around him.

Legend has stereotyped him somewhat into a romantic hero, and he is generally known zaidi for his upendo for Catherine Earnshaw than his final years of vengeance in the sekunde half of the novel, in which he grows into a bitter, haunted man (although there are also a number of incidents in Heathcliff's early life that onyesha that he was an angry and sometimes malicious individual from the beginning; again, these tend to be glossed over in the maarufu imagination). His complicated, mesmerising and altogether bizarre nature makes him a rare character, with components of both the hero and villain.

Neville Longbottom is a character of J. K. Rowling's Harry Potter series.Neville is a pure-blood Gryffindor student in Harry's year. Throughout the series, he is often portrayed as a bumbling, disorganised character and a rather mediocre student, though he is highly gifted at Herbology. His parents, Frank and Alice Longbottom, were prominent Aurors and Order of the Phoenix members until they were tortured and permanently incapacitated kwa a group of Death Eaters led kwa Bellatrix Lestrange; Neville was subsequently raised kwa his paternal grandmother, Augusta. Neville plays a minor role in the first four books, but Rowling wanted him to perform an act of bravery in Philosopher's Stone, in which Neville "finds true moral courage in standing up to his closest Marafiki — the people who are on his side" towards the climax.
