This has been bothering me for a while now. How could Spike,Drusilla, & Buffy be part of The First.?.. In Season 7

The First is a being manifested from all evil in existence.

The First is an incorporeal entity that can assume the form of any person who has died.

This includes Wanyonya damu (since they are essentially people who have died) and dead persons who have been resurrected (like Buffy Summers).

Since the First is an expert at psychological manipulation, combining this skill with it's changing appearance is essentially it's strongest asset.

Because of this it appears in various forms over the course of the series depending on which character the First is appearing to.

For this reason, the First usually appears as Buffy Summers to the Slayer and her allies.

It also assumes the forms of (among others) Drusilla, Warren Mears, Spike, and Jonathan Levinson on multiple occasions whom are all characters that have died during the course of the series.

the first takes the form of dead people and Buffy Spike and Drusilla have all died so it can take their form.they are not part of the first just who it uses to represent it self

The First Can Take On Anything That Is Dead And Buffy Still Died Twice So That Counts And Wanyonya damu Are Dead That Counts Too, It Was Confusing To Me At First Too

I don't think they're part of the first, they're all technically dead though, it's just a power the First has, never really thought about it properly

the first is the first evil. It is also the strongest evil.The first has the ability to imitate any dead person it chooses. He imitates buffy to get to spike. Buffy is also seen as strong leader and thats maybe why the first chooses to imitate her zaidi than the others.

i get why the first could take the form of buffy and everyone else but it can take the form of adam- he was a machine- no real life there so no real death. He could have taken the form of adam as a man but not adam as his half man half machine being... just a little inconsistency i reckon- never mind

the first can only take form of people who have died therfore can take the form of buffy, spike and drusilla. it cant take the form of peole like xander au willow because they have not died.

The first in all the first evil it can't replace the dead as the first can only imitate and change to anyone at anytime.The first uses it to trick the living and take the advantage of people!!
