Technically The Lion King is the better film but I prefer The Swan Princess. Both are in my top 10 favorite movies but this is in my top 5. I know it has it's problems but I see it the same way I see Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs and The Wizard of Oz, a movie that isn't based on logic but more on emotions.

I'm not a big fan of either one, but I prefer by far The Lion King.

By far! I strongly dislike the Swan Princess. The plot in TLK stands up much better, the songs are a ton better (The first song in the Swan princess was cute but extremely annoying, and the rest of the songs were unmemorable and just put it as filler.) I much prefer TLK's animation, and the Lion King's characters I prefer a whole lot more. (While Scar was cool and intimidating, Rothbart was sort of stupid and cliche. Odette lost her personality after being a kid, and Derek was a run-of-the-mill "do anything for his princess and all of a sudden saves the day" prince)

DON'T MAKE ME CHOOSE!

Once every several months I get a strong hankering to watch this film again, but I haven't felt the faintest desire to see The Lion King since I was in second grade. =/

I strongly dislike The Lion King, and I'm neutral about The Swan Princess.

I really dislike The Lion King and every time I watch I find more flaws in it, whereas I never get tired of watching this film (or any of its animated seques, no matter how silly they are).

Even that absolutely awful Christmas one and the mediocre one with the orphan girl?
