Santa Baby!
Hi guys, I know that this makala is pretty early, but I thought that I write about why I upendo krisimasi and how I celebrate it here in Malaysia.

How?

Every year, my church (I'm not baptized yet, mind you) would organised a special occasion. But the common one is definitely caroling, the location is normally depends because we need to get the approval from the management team themselves.
On krisimasi Eve, we would have a night service accompanied kwa chajio, chakula cha jioni prior to the service. A few days earlier, the youths would decorate the church with the birth of Jesus and setting up the krisimasi tree....

Humanity seems to have forgotten,
The true meaning of Christmas.
They think its only presents,
And they think it's krisimasi trees, too.
Don't wewe remember what it's all about?
Have wewe forgotten the true meaning?
krisimasi is zaidi than just presents.
In fact, it's not about presents at all.
It's about things wewe can't wrap, upangaji pamoja in a box,
And tie with a bow.
Peace on Earth and good will toward men,
That's what krisimasi is all about!
Have wewe forgotten all about this?
Why is it only this time of year,
That we have to be nice to each other,
That we have to be kind?
Why can't it be all mwaka 'round?
Why can't it be every day?
Why does it have to be just this day?

I
The shepherds went their hasty way,
And found the lowly stable-shed
Where the Virgin-mother lay:
And now they checked their eager tread,
For to the Babe that at her bosom clung,
A mother song the Virgin-mother sung.

II
They told her how a glorious light,
Streaming from a heavenly throng
Around them shone, suspending night!
While sweeter than a mother's song,
Blest angels hearlded the Saviour's birth
Glory to God on high! and Peace on Earth.

SAMUEL TAYLOR COLERIDGE "A krisimasi CAROL"
hujambo guys so this is just some fun lil humor! i found this joke and thought it was cute! i think the women and especially the wives will agree!

After being away on business for a week before Christmas, Tom thought it would be nice to bring his wife a little gift.

"How about some perfume?" he asked the cosmetics clerk. She showed him a bottle costing $50.

"That's a bit much," alisema Tom, so she returned with a smaller bottle for $30.

"Thats still quite a bit," Tom groused.

Growing disgusted, the clerk brought out a tiny $15 bottle.

Tom grew agitated, "What I mean," he said, "is I'd like to see something real cheap."

So the clerk handed him a mirror.

For all the people who want a happy makala about Christmas, I'm sorry to let wewe down, and maybe I'm a little pessimistic but now I'm getting older this is how I think about Christmas:

Five years zamani (I was nine) I was sitting in my aunts car on krisimasi Eve, and we were talking about a tv onyesha in Holland called 'all wewe need is love'
I don't know if wewe know, au have the onyesha in America but the tv onyesha is about people who get unexpected visits from people that they love, and then, for one night, they can forget all their problems and enjoy Chrismas Eve together. I thought that it was a silly...

Hi Olaf, please make Malaysia snowing!
Hi guys, since krisimasi is coming, what I'm going to write are some are the perfect krisimasi films that wewe will enjoy this coming festive season!

1) Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas

So, this film is considered my least favourite Disney sequel (or shall I say midquel?). The songs are amazing and krisimasi oriented, especially the song 'As Long As There's Christmas'. The lyrics is very meaningful that I felt in upendo with it!

2) The Sound of Music

Okay, I definitely know that 'My Favourite Things' is technically associated with Christmas. But, this movie is the best! I will definitely...

I've always preferred the term krisimasi in opposed to Xmas, it looks better when it's written in cards au a part of krisimasi decorations, and what's an Xmas anyway? I know that it's some type of abbreviation for the word krisimasi but it doesn't look right and it sounds worse if wewe try saying it, krisimasi has become so commercialized over the years it seems as though many of us have Lost our krisimasi cheer and the meaning of krisimasi isn't what it used to be, however this is my first krisimasi on fanpop and it's great to have a spot dedicated to this festive season, I am the youngest...

In Ukraine, the krisimasi holidays begin since 2nd of January. Prior to krisimasi in the Ukraine, people try to complete almost all important work. As usual, the hostess thoroughly cleans the house, covers the new tablecloth, tries to make new clothes before holiday. On January 4th Ukrainians prepare everything for the future festive krisimasi dinner. According to tradition, there should be 12 courses for Svyatvecher (Christmas). All they have to be lean.

Traditionally, 12 courses are prepared because it is believed that during the mwaka the mwezi run over the earth for 12 times. Therefore,...

James Pierpont - 1857
Dashing through the snow, in a one-horse open sleigh
Over the fields we go, laughing all the way;
Bells on bob-tail ring, making spirits bright
What fun it is to ride and sing a sleighing song tonight

Chorus
Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way!
O what fun it is to ride in a one-horse open sleigh
Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way!
O what fun it is to ride in a one-horse open sleigh

A siku au two ago, I thought I'd take a ride
And soon Miss Fanny Bright, was seated kwa my side;
The horse was lean and lank, misfortune seemed his lot;
He got into a drifted...

I'm sure wewe know that classic krisimasi story. The one about a man named Scrooge and that fatefull krisimasi Eve that changed his life. I must admit, looking out into the world, if the Ghosts of krisimasi Past, Present, and Yet To Come have found themselves, like so many, unemployed. I feel like we need them now zaidi than ever.

Every krisimasi it seems the same and it truely saddens me. I hear reports on the infamous "Black Friday" of people being run over as well as fighting to get that last discounted item. People loosing their patience altogether and taking it out on those who are just...

Vasilopita is the Greek New Year's cake. Vasilopita is associated with Saint Basil's siku on January 1 in Greece.

On New Year's siku families cut the Vasilopita to bless the house and bring good luck for the new year.
It is traditional to bake a coin into the Vasilopita (St. Basil's cake). The one who receives the coin is considered to be especially blessed for the year. A piece of cake is sliced for each member of the family and any visitors present at the time. Slices are also cut for various other people au groups, depending on local and family tradition. They may include St. Basil and other...

krisimasi is a wonderful time of the year, all the presents, decorations, etc. Remember, though, krisimasi can also be hectic and stressful. Here's just a few tips on how to survive the krisimasi season.
1. Telling your mother that she has enough ornaments only gives her an excuse to buy more.
2. If wewe are dragged to a neighbor's house for a krisimasi party, don't drink the eggnog if wewe plan to stay sober. Don't be like my uncle. That "spicy, different taste" is called rum.
3. If your grandmother is cooking krisimasi dinner, and she has a terrible memory, don't count on her to take out the roast...

Hi everyone!

I just wanted to say Merry Cristmas to all of wewe fanpoppers out there.

If wewe believe in god au wewe don't, it is always a special siku for families and Marafiki to onyesha how they really feel about one another, either this being chakula fights, real fights au praying for the less fortunate, spend it as a way that is special to you.

Living in Australia, i have always had sweaty, hot christmas'. krisimasi morning spent with my mum and in the afternoon, it is spent with my dad. This is all that i have basically known, i am just grateful that i get to spend one of my most favourite days of the mwaka with my whole family.

But remember that krisimasi is not just about the presents au the food, although it is the best part lol, it is about family, Marafiki and santa.

So spread the joy and upendo that this season brings, spread it to everyone that wewe know and maybe even to those that wewe don't. Have a great krisimasi :)

Though similar to Russia's Baboushka, Italy's La Befana is a gift bringer with a style all her own. This is her sad and poignant story...

To those who would see her from the road she appeared to be nothing zaidi than a lonely old woman who lived alone. But the lines on her old face were drawn from years of tragedy. The lines told the story of losing her husband and infant child to a sweeping disease, leaving her a widow and a childless mother.

Inded she did live alone as an old woman. She had very little. But what she did have was precious to her. She kept these small treasures locked up in a...

Kalikantzaroi, au the Greek krisimasi Sprites, are small blackish and hairy creatures, with long arms and tail, who reside in the bowels of the earth.
Kalikantzaroi are nasty

With a big saw, they compete to cut down the huge wooden stake which holds the earth in place. But the column is very thick and the sawing seems to go on forever.

Right before Christmas, however, Kalikantzaroi almost accomplish their mission and the column seems ready to fall. Overjoyed kwa their almost successful effort, but also fearful that the earth will topple over on their heads, they rush to the juu to bother and annoy...

Santa Kitty,
I’ve really been an awfully good cat,
And that
Is not an easy thing for me,
Santa Kitty,
So scurry down the chimney tonight.

Santa Kitty,
A ten-pound bag of cat food, too,
From you.
I’ve been an Angel all year,
Santa Kitty,
So scurry down the chimney tonight.

Think of all
The chakula I’ve missed.
Think of all the items on
My people’s grocery list.
They really have been
Mean to me.
It takes a lot of food
To feed a cat like me!

Santa Kitty,
Slip a maziwa bowl under the tree
For me.
I’ll stay up for you, dear
Santa Kitty,
So scurry down the chimney tonight.

Santa Kitty,
I need something to chase ’round...
