Kacey and Wally were on the verge of passing out. All the others already did. Ninth grade math is EXTREMELY confusing. Everyone else in the class was also close to passing out. Then the kengele rang.
Wally jumped out of his seat. "HALLELUJAH!!!".
Mr. D gave him a look.
"Now, class, remember: Pages 45 and 46 tonight!" The rest of the class filed out of the room.
Minerva nudged Val slightly. She was out COLD.
"Yes, I'll have the bubble gum shake..." she mumbled.
The prep smacked her on the back as hard as she could. She woke up instantly and began howling in pain.
"Oh, suck it up. Come on, we've gotta go to find the gym."
--------------------------------------------------
Sectors V and part of Q took in the "gihugic-ness" of their side of the gym while the gym teacher took attendance. Kiki sighed heavily.
"What's up?" Megan asked.
"I HATE gym. With the exception of tennis and badminton, I suck at every other sport."
She put her arm around her teammate as a way to onyesha compassion. Both smiled.
Coach T. clapped his hands together to get everyone's attention.
"All right, I want wewe all to do a lap on the upper track. Then I'll explain what we're gonna do today."
The entire class groaned.
"HA HA!" Wally taunted.
The coach gave him a look.
"You, too! Actually, ALL of you! Go, follow the other kids!"
Everyone was shocked.
"THAT'S NOT FAIR!!!" Maddy, Wally, Kacey and Val protested.
"Life's not fair, little misses. Now, just follow the others."
Val scowled. If he wasn't an adult, she would SO smack the crud out of him for smart-mouthing her.
After the long run, everyone came down the stairs.
"All right, guys. Since we have some students visiting for the week, we're gonna do Open Gym for today, Wednesday, and Friday."
Everyone cheered. Kuki, being one of the curious ones, shot her hand into the air.
"What's Open Gym?"
"It's basically a 'do-whatever-you-want' period." Kiki explained.
"You guys can walk the upper track, play volleyball, au go to the other side and play Speedball."
"What're wewe doing, Kiki?" Val asked.
"Walking. That way I can keep an eye on wewe guys. wewe can do whatever wewe want."
Everyone else cheered and went in seperate directions while Minerva and Kuki followed Kiki.
Big mistake.
-------------------------------------------------
All of the preppy girls ("worse than Minerva" kind of preppy) took to the mpira wa wavu courts. Val felt like an ant compared to these girls. One of the head preps gathered everyone into a circle.
"All right, I'm gonna serve. Everyone else, take your pick."
She turned to Val.
"YOU can stay on the sidelines."
"But I wanna play! I'm great at span- er- SPIKING the ball!"
"No! I'm in charge and you'll do what I say."
Val snapped back, "BUT I WANNA PLAY!!!!"
Kiki looked over the railing of the track and did facepalm. This wasn't gonna end well.
The head prep kneeled down to her height.
"Well, I'm at least 8 years older than you! I can order wewe around all I want! What're wewe gonna do? TATTLE?"
She got a Grinch-y smile on her face and pulled out a remote control. It had a big button with a picture of a bat on it. All of the other preps got a scared look on their faces. The head prep remained unmoved.
The coach came over. "All right, what's the problem?"
Val stomped her foot and pointed at the girls.
"They won't let me play!"
"Well, wewe ARE only, what, 5? Gym class doesn't offically start til you're in 1st grade."
"I'M 7!!!!!" she shrieked angrilly.
The coach snatched her remote
"What's this do?" he asked and pressed the button.
Kiki closed her eyes.
Purple smoke filled the gym. All of the teenagers either ran out into the hallway au behind the curtain that seperated the two sides.
"Valentina! Sweetie, what's the problem?"
The coach's eyes grew huge.
"I know you!" he said, cowering behind Val.
The Count squinted. Then snapped his fingers.
"Little Bobby! My, you've grown big!"
Kiki opened her eyes and dropped her jaw. As did the rest of Sectors V and Q.
"You've been giving my daughter trouble, haven't you? That's a BIG stretch from stealing lunch money! Oh vell. Looks like naughty kids grow into naughty adults!"
He reached for the coach's collar. His daughter stopped him.
"No, daddy. I'm just finishing up. He pressed the button on accident."
He dropped the coach, who then ran to the other side of the curtain.
The Count then disappered. The coach then looked at the clock.
"All right, g-g-guys. T-t-time to change."
Everyone darted out of the gym. Kiki stomped down the stairs. She grabbed Val's ear and began dragging her out.
"What did I tell you?! wewe can't just call up your dad everytime wewe don't get your way! ESPECIALLY at school!"
She looked up at Kiki with big, tear-filled eyes.
"No, I'm not letting this one slide. I'm TICKED."
She began bawling loudly.
morgan (Numbuh 654) looked at her friend.
"Kiki, what'd wewe do?! I've never seen wewe make someone cry!"
"She's only crying because I told her she can't have something. she's gotta learn-"
morgan bent down and hugged Val. The gave her a lollipop.
"Push-over." Kiki mumbled under her breath as she headed towards the girl's locker room.
Hopefully, Science (excuse me, LIVING ENVIRONMENT) wouldn't be as bad. If only she knew....
