I think I’ll call this - “I’m not afraid.” [or - “I’m completely confident about Delena & couldn’t care less about Caroline encouraging Stefan to go after Elena again because Elena has finally accepted the truth!” aka “Elena is in upendo with Damon & she’s not hiding from this truth any longer, so throw Damon/Elena whatever obstacles wewe please, because their upendo is strong enough to prevail!”

O K A Y! This is probably going to be pretty long seeing as i have a tendency to provide TONS AND TONS of details, as well as ramble quite a bit. So to be considerate, i will put my thoughts under a ‘Read More’ break.

Let me start this off kwa stating that this is all just MY OPINION. I don’t claim to know any secrets of the show, I don’t believe that I am, au my opinions are, in anyway superior to anyone. These are just the thoughts that i have and that I am confident in! If wewe don’t like what i have to say, for whatever reason that may be, please just do the polite thing and exit my blog. I onyesha respect and consideration to everyone, and i deserve the same treatment in return. If wewe disagree with my opinions and decide to continue kusoma anyways, that’s fine with me! Just keep this in mind - respect is a two way street. If wewe disrespect me, do not expect me to react kindly.

Alright! On with my thoughts.

It’s finally happened, Elena has FINALLY not only acknowledged her feelings for Damon, [and how strong those feelings are] she has ACCEPTED those feelings! This is big, HUGE really! For such a long time now, Elena has been so scared of her feelings for Damon, she’s been terrified to accept the truth and admit it out loud - she is in upendo with Damon. Now obviously we are still waiting to actually hear Elena say those 3 words to Damon, but her conversation with Stefan, everything they BOTH said, as well as didn’t say, confirmed it without a doubt.

So what happens next? Well this is a drama and obviously things aren’t going to just magically be easy for Damon & Elena. We know how Damon is, no matter how internally happy he will no doubt be, on the outside… it’s salama to assume he is going to struggle. He’s going to feel guilty, [though he has nothing to feel guilty for since he’s done nothing wrong, but i will address that later on in this post!] he will almost certainly not believe that this breakup is for good & will probably initially brush off any attempts Elena makes to songesha their relationship forward.

And then there’s Caroline. Let’s talk about this spoiler that says Caroline is going to encourage Stefan to go after Elena again:

I’m not concerned, not at all. Do wewe want to know why? Because ELENA FINALLY KNOWS EXACTLY WHAT SHE WANTS. She has acknowledged and admitted that her feelings for Damon are stronger than ever, so strong that she can NOT keep pretending she isn’t in upendo with him any longer. Honestly, it’s not going to matter WHAT Caroline says au does. We all know that Caroline is Team Stefan/Stelena. That’s not anything new so let’s stop pretending it is okay?

Damon and Elena are finally happening, just be happy about it, okay?

I know we haven’t got very lucky yet, but this is our time and we need to start enjoying it.

panther-jewel There was lots of talk before this season started about Damon being all "You made your choice, now live with it", and I remember an article (not on fanpop) called something like "Damon won't take Elena back that easily". Perhaps, we are at that point now, I would definitely like to see Elena chasing Damon for a change, although it probably won't go that far. Yeah, we still don't have a definition by Elena of her feelings for Damon, but it is huge that she finally admitted having those emotions. I am irritated about how intensely Caroline gets involved in her friends love life, but I am also not concerned; Caroline always was like that. I really like this article!

delenasalvatore I am also not concerned about Caroline standing in the way. However, certain fans do tend to take some things the characters say very literally. For example, SE'ers like to believe that because Klaus said "That kind of love never dies", then there's a great meaning about Stelena written within that. When I posted a reply on YT that we shouldn't believe everything the producers tell us, I got a comment back yesterday from someone else who cited that because Caroline defended Stefan to Elena as her 'epic love', then we shouldn't discard everything they say. All I'm saying is, unfortunately there may be a few fans who see Caroline sticking her nose into DE's business, as some kind of confimation that they don't belong together or that the producers don't want them together. @panther-jewel, I can't see Damon fobbing Elena off just because she picked his brother before him. I didn't like the 'You made your choice, now live with it' talk because it strikes me as very spiteful and vindictive, and honestly, I think he is past that now. Not to say that now she has wants to be with him, he won't resist a little, but that will probably be down to feeling a bit guilty or out of loyalty to Stefan - not because he wants her to suffer or hurt her for choosing his brother.

panther-jewel @delenasalvatore: Thank you for pointing this out! I didn't mean that Damon would (or could ever) be "spiteful and vindictive". I just said that I remember those texts from before the start of this season. I also think that Damon will try not to hurt Stefan (guilt and loyalty), will perhaps not be sure if Elena is still confused because of her new existence, and he even could fear to be hurt even more (what if she is confused? what if she changes her mind again with a cure?) after their history so far. I don't see Elena really wanting to be with Damon already though. She still hasn't given away a definition of her feelings for Damon, and I see her at the point where she doesn't know how to be with one brother because she loves them both. We all know that Elena loves Damon, but the story will - like always concerning Delena - probably take its time to get to her calling it "love". And another thing about Caroline: She is very young and inexperienced, denies her own emotional conflict, and has a bond with Stefan, while she was used by Damon at the beginning of the show, so that I don't see her as a good adviser in love and especially regarding the Salvatore-brothers.

So after the last episode was aired the Damon hate started again. Over what? Damon saying to Elena, “Let me be clear about something. If it comes down to wewe and the witch again I will gladly let Bonnie die. I will always choose you.”

The hate doesn’t make any sense. Ok so Damon was sweet and nice to Bonnie. I bet some mashabiki thought that he cared about her but guess what? He never cared about her! Let's be clear about something: I LIKE Stefan, even if I don't like how he behaves towards Damon sometimes. I am not reprimanding the DE mashabiki who enjoy 'Defan'. I accept that it is one of the central ships of the show, and an important one at that. What I cannot understand however, is the mashabiki who view Defan au 'Team Salvatore' as this sacred, untouchable bond and a ship above all others just because they are brothers.
