why season four has been the perfect timing for delena to happen .... first I want to say that I've never read the vitabu so when I started to watch the onyesha I had no idea what it was about and it didn't occur to me that a upendo pembetatu wil be formed.. especially one that includes the heroin and the "villain". as the onyesha went on I never bought the relationship between Stefan and Elena it was based on lies and secrets, and it was too rushed that I didn't see the " falling in upendo " part ... at the same time I started to see Damon and Elena as Marafiki , they started to earn each others trust and despite everything they really seamed to care about each other , but it wasn't untel the " miss mystic falls dance" that it hit me!!! it wasn't untel then that I started to realize that there's something zaidi to their friendship , I remember watching that episode with my sister , and when they started dancing I told my sister " omg she's gonna fall in upendo with Damon " and my sister was like " daa .. of course it's been obvious since the first episode, were wewe sleeping the whole time ?!! " lol . and I thought this is about to get interesting, because I've always thought that a upendo that starts with friendship , trust and as Elena puts it " an understanding " -is what wewe call " true upendo " . the thing I like the most about their relationship is that it took its time we were able to see everything that's happened between them , every look ,every word ,every obstacle ...and the writers have made an excellent work building their love. .in season one they became Marafiki ,they formed a very strong bond ,and Damon started to fall for Elena but there was still his century and a half upendo for Katherine , he needed a closure ... In season two we saw Damon falling out of upendo with Katherine and that was well played kwa the writers especially when he was the one to lock her in that tomb ...that scene put an end to his history with Katherine . Elena started to have feelings for him too but it was too soon for her to admit it although that kiss when he was dying says a lot about her feelings for him..... In season three they became very close and everyone started to confront Elena with her feelings even Stefan did .and we started to see a very confused Elena torn between her feelings for both brothers,what that says about her and what other people think about Damon and the idea of them being together ... and her finale choice didn't surprise me at all -it annoyed me though , lol- but it made sense because at that time she was so confused and scared that she didn't exactly make a " choice " she just stuck with the safest road that everyone around her expected her to take ,the one she always expected herself to take because even though she knew that her moyo belongs with Damon she was too scared to admit it ..at the same time even though she told him that she was letting him go her words proved otherwise ..when he asked her if it's always gonna be Stefan she alisema no .. she alisema she can't talk about always ... and the reasons she gave for choosing Stefan weren't coming from upendo she alisema that she only chooses him because he came to her life first ,and she admits that if her and Damon met first she wouldn't have fallen for Stefan ..then we were left with the shocking revelation that they actually met first ,and if he hadn't compelled her to forget he might have been her consuming upendo all along ... and as heartbreaking this revelation was it showed the difference between Stefan and Damon , Stefan came into her life although he knew how dangerous it is for her " I know the risk but I have to know her " why ? because she looked exactly like his ex-girlfriend !! on the other hand Damon compelled her to forget about him and disappeared from her life because for him it was never about replacing Katherine -as it was for Stefan -for Damon Elena has never been a girl that looked like Katherine and Elena knows that ..... so kwa the end of season three although I was hoping for Elena to choose Damon there was still two missing things for them to finally be together and those two things were delivered in season four : one - Elena falling out of upendo with Stefan ,it wouldn't have been right for all of them if Elena went back and forth between the brothers because she still have feelings for both of them ... I always thought that once she chooses Damon the pembetatu will be broken for good . two -Elena becoming a vampire :this was important for two reasons , one so she can remember everything he compelled he to forget , two : Elena has always been the only one who understands Damon but there was stil something she couldnt have been able to understand as a human which is what it's like to be a vampire .... once she turned the writers made it very clear that she is zaidi like Damon as a vampire just like Damon was zaidi like her when he was human ...human Damon fell in upendo with Katherine although he knew she was a vampire but he wasn't afraid of her just like Elena wasn't afraid of Stefan , Damon chose Katherine and his choice got him killed just like Elena chose Stefan and her choice got her killed too .... now I'm about to say something that will upset most of wewe "but I have to say it once wewe just need to hear it " -don't worry I'm not gonna compell wewe afterwards - lol, I actually LOVED the sire bond twist it was brilliant ..and the way it was introduced right in the middle of a long awaited upendo scene it was mind blowing ,because it left us all wondering what does this mean ? does this change anything ?does it affect her feelings ?was it real....but we weren't left wondering for too long it was shortly revealed that the sire bond doesn't affect her feelings ,her feelings wasn't the result of the sire bond , the sire bond was actually the result of her feelings for him her " human "feelings ...and once that was cleared out the only swali left was " what will Damon do now? will he set her free... will he believe that it was real , because real for damon means everything he always " wanted it to be real " that's what made the sire bond a very clever twist because it played on Damon's insecurities he always wanted her to be free so he sets her free..... on the finale all of the swali were answered Elena finally made it clear for Damon that it was real all along ,and was a very beautiful scene ... first it was right in front of that moto place where Elena once told him that they will always " survive" , it's where they first made upendo .. and it's the first room he showed her when she first intered the Salvatore house .... and the words they told each other were priceless totally delena style ...he gives her all the reasons why he thinks he's wrong for her ...then she tells him that she's well aware of all of that but doesnt regret any moment she's had with him the good and the bad , she's not sorry that she met him ,that he changed everything in her life ,and when she died and thought that everything has ended that the world as she knows has ended he showed her a whole new world " in death you're the one that made me feel most alive "-now that was epic "in your face stelena mashabiki " lol- and I saw that some of were upset that she referred to Damon as the wrong choice when she once alisema that Stefan is her best she also made it clear that she wasn't happy with her best choice ,and her wrong choice is what actually made her happy .... and that what happens in life sometimes wewe think that something is the best for wewe but then it turns out to be completely wrong ,and what seemed to be absolutely wrong turns out to be the best ,and that's basically what Elena alisema "of all the choices that I've made this would prove to be the worst one , but I'm not sorry that I'm in upendo with wewe " she doesn't regret anything about him she in fact believes that just being with him is worth making all the wrong choices....
