Nina [Dobrev] is just so sassy when she’s Katherine. wewe know, I remember last season when Damon would vamp out — put in the eyes and the teeth and the whole thing — it gives wewe this license to sort of be a little wacky and it’s fun and Nina takes full advantage of that. But Elena, she’s so disarming. She’s so hauntingly beautiful and sweet that I think it sort of levels Damon. wewe know, he’s truly figured out the difference between Katherine and Elena. There’s an ocean of separation between the two of them and I think he wishes that Katherine would’ve been Elena.

delenaluv maybe stefan still wishes elena was katherine.we all know how he still feels about her well except for him. he thinks he's too good to love someone so bad. didnt he ever hear of opposites attracting except in this case i dont think they are as opposite as he thinks. stick with your first true love stefan and leave elena to her maybe not first love but definitely HER true love

The reason Damon and Elena share that understanding between is because of the fact that their decisions are motivated kwa upendo and it is not about whether it is wrong au right, all social rules go out the door. One of the reasons why I ship Damon and Elena is because they both re-awaken each other. Elena re-awakens Damon’s humanity and Damon re-awakens the girl who died the moment her parents died.
