At first, I had absolutely no idea why anyone would ship Bamon. However, that's because I always felt like Elena will always be number one for Damon and that that will never change. My opinion on this hasn't changed, but now I can at least understand why Bamon mashabiki ship Bamon.
They see chemistry between Bamon; like we see chemistry between Delena, Bamon mashabiki see chemistry between Bamon. To me, chemistry is all about how well the characters fit together and the potential storyline they have. For me, Delena has the potential to be an epic upendo story, which is forbidden because Damon is in upendo with his brother's girl friend and his brother's girl friend has unexpected feelings for someone she shouldn't. There is also a 'forbidden' feeling surrounding Bamon though; Wanyonya damu and witches shouldn't care about each other because that's all they've known for centuries; this doesn't mean that Damon and Bonnie should be together, it just means that there is potential to make a forbidden upendo story with a witch and a vampire. What I've always wanted to know though, is if Bonnie didn’t have powers, would people still like Bamon? There have maoni I have seen that Bonnie is a strong individual and therefore can stand up to the cocky vampire, but what people seem to forget is that when Bonnie was unaware of the power she held, she was terrified of Damon. She wouldn’t have been able to stand up to him. On the other hand, there’s Elena who isn’t a vampire au witch au werewolf... and is still able to stand up to him. She’s attempted to slap him, has been sarcastic towards him, using words rather than actions like Bonnie. It holds the question: is Bonnie being a powerful witch and being able to stand up to Damon really a good enough reason to ship Bamon?
I’ve also seen maoni that Bamon is unique; this always confuses me because about 90% of Bamon mashabiki ship Stelena, and like them au not Stelena is the opposite of unique, even zaidi than Delena. It also continues with one of my awali points that taking away the title ‘witch’ and ‘vampire’ leaves wewe with what? The fact that they’ve been compared to the likes of Spuffy also confuses me and although I’m one of the few Delena mashabiki that like Bonnie, I’m baffled when I’m told Bonnie is like Buffy. No she isn’t. Buffy didn’t need powers to be fighting evil, whereas it was only when Bonnie gained her powers that she became confidant against the evil in the world. Yet, she was still vulnerable. However, the one person to notice this was of all people: Jeremy. Like it au not, if two people are meant to be, even when they at first hate each other, wouldn’t they notice from the off that something wasn’t right? Damon never did, yet it was Jeremy that realised first that Bonnie using too much power was damaging to her. He was also the one that did nothing but protect her as best he could as soon as he found out; Jeremy is the guy for Bonnie.
Now I’m going to say to Bamon book mashabiki that say Bamon are fate that I don’t buy it: why would Delena be described as ‘twin flames’ and ‘eternal soul mates’ if they weren’t fated together? I’ve heard that Bamon is going to be part of a upendo pembetatu with Delena from LJ Smith. The only reason I think she’s doing this is because she has alisema that her publishers want Stelena as end game because it’s zaidi of a ‘moral’ ending whereas Delena isn’t. Also, Bamon and Stelena being end game means that everyone will be happy in the end and she’s alisema that there will be a happy ending. However, I think she seems to forget about Matt, although she’s probably planning on having Matt end up with Meredith au something... In my opinion, it would be nice if she took that risk; upendo can be selfish, and upendo doesn’t mean everyone will be happy about it. Also, she’s alisema that Delena mashabiki forget that Stefan needs a happy ending but she forgets that the majority of people that read her vitabu are Delena fans, and that whilst she’s making a fictional character bore Elena to death, she’s upsetting real people.
Lastly, I can honestly say I don’t know how the writers would go about making Bamon a couple in the show, unless they were used as a devise for Delena and for drama. They can’t hold Damon as the ‘bad guy’ in the onyesha who first showed his humanity around Elena, who first had an understanding with her, who wanted to protect her from harm and from his feelings for her. I would feel that the writers have cheapened Damon’s upendo for Elena should he ever fall in upendo with Bonnie. I would feel like him sacrificing his upendo for Elena so that she could be happy with his brother was all for nothing. No, I don’t get why wewe would want to ship Bamon when there’s already a perfectly good upendo story in the making, which both Damon and eventually Elena, want.
