(Elena, embarrassed with memories flooding back to her of earlier that day, turns away)
Elena: Can we go to the Mystic Grill? I’m… starving.
Stefan: Elena, we have chakula here. Don’t let him bully wewe into leaving. wewe can stay as long as you’d like. Don’t Worry. (Stefan turns to Damon) Do wewe really have to do this now, Damon?
Damon: Don’t worry, brother. I’m leaving. I don’t think I’m up for your melodramatic couple drama today.
Elena: Wait, Damon. Don’t go.
Damon: Excuse me?
Elena: I mean that um, uh I uh need to talk to you, in private.
Stefan: Elena, what is this about? Why do wewe need me to leave?
Damon: Yeah, Elena. Anything wewe say to me can be alisema in front of your DEAREST Stefan, right Elena?
Elena: I um have to go… Stefan, tomorrow please tell me what happened at Harvard. We never really got around to discussing it… I upendo you.
Stefan: I upendo wewe too. But wewe don’t really need to go. Surely wewe can stay here!
Elena: I’m sorry Stefan… um Aunt Jenna wanted to do some “family bonding activity” thing tonight and I totally spaced. I’ll call wewe later tonight kay?

Elena: I really have to go… (Kisses Stefan on the cheek) I’ll call you. I promise.
(On the way, Elena risks a small glance at Damon. Damon has a confused look on his face and she quickly looks away when she makes eye contact)

Damon: I wanted to make sure wewe were alright.
Elena: I’m fine. Now can wewe please leave? Someone might hear you.
(Damon pauses, and intently listens to what appears to be nothing)
Damon: Aunt Jenna and Jeremy are both asleep. It’s just us.
Elena: Doesn’t matter. wewe still have to leave.
Damon: Why?
Elena: Because I don’t want you… because I need to think.
Damon: About what, darling?
(Elena gets out of the covers to stand inayofuata to Damon, eye to eye)
Elena: About you, Stefan, about the kiss, about… everything.
Damon: (smirking) Everything?
Elena: Yes, Damon, everything.
Damon: But.. uh.. did wewe mean what wewe said?
Elena: About what?
Damon: About me, not leaving. I mean, I’m yours. If wewe want me to leave… so wewe can be with… well, I won’t object.

Damon: Why not precious? Tell me why. (Damon strokes her cheek while she shivers)
Elena: Because if I just feel, I’m afraid of what I’ll do.
Damon: I am too. But don’t we owe it to each other? Don’t wewe think?
Elena: Owe what?
Damon: To feel. Just this once. We owe it to each other to feel something. TO be satisfied once… just once.
Elena: But that’s what we alisema about the kiss.

Damon: Yes. Anything would be. (Damon kisses her forehead)
Damon: wewe have to stop doing this to me... (Elena turns around to look him in the eye)
Elena: What??
Damon: Making me human... I'm not. I never was.

Damon: But Wanyonya damu aren' t supposed to want to be human. We have that switch for a reason, Elena. It's the only way we can deal with what we are.

Ok so I was just randomly listening to the 2 songs off the TVD soundtrack from episode 1x01 and 3x19...and I noticed something that blew my mind. I just thought I'd share it. We all know how influential the muziki can be as far as foreshadowing goes. This analysis just furthers my belief that Delena were meant to be all along and from the very beginning.
So when Elena is going to the cemetery in the very first episode of season 1, unbeknownst to her, Damon is hiding in the fog watching her. While this is going on, the song in the background (Say All I Need kwa One Republic) has lyrics that go "All I need is the air I breathe, and a place to rest my head."
In season 3 episode 19, Damon and Elena finally kiss passionately. The accompanying song (Never Let Me Go kwa Florence and The Machine) has a verse that says "I found the place to rest my head."
