	xoheartinohioxo picked Monthly change {Change the look each month.}: Before you make your decision, please read the pros & cons for each: {Not all of these are my personal opinions, I'm taking from comments on the first pick i made.} Monthly change - Pros: This is the way most active spots handle changing their spot look. Everyone knows exactly how much time they have to make their banner(s) & icon(s). Once a banner, icon & motto have won voting - they are up for 1 month & then there's a new round of making new stuff & voting again. Everyone gets a fair chance to submit their work and potentially see it used. There is no need for arguing or complaining about not liking something, because you'll know that in a month at the most, you can vote for something different! Cons: Some people apparently think changing the look every month is changing it too often... {I don't want to sound like a bitch, but i see these same people talking about changing it "every time a big moment occurs." and that makes ZERO sense. If you think changing it every month is TOO SOON, how is changing it every other week okay??} Change the look at the BEGINNING of the season, MIDDLE of the season & END of the season {3 times per season.) - Pros: Each spot look would have plenty of time to be appreciated. Everyone would have plenty of time to create banners/icons, giving us loads of gorgeous banners/icons to choose from each time we vote! Cons: I can just imagine the people that already complain about changing stuff so frequently, they would only complain worse having to wait "so long" in between each change. Also, what happens if after we make the "beginning of the season" change, a week or two later the most amazing DE scene takes place?? THAT is where i can understand being annoyed at having to wait too long for a change. Change any time a "big moment" occurs. - Pros: The new "big moment" would almost certainly be included in the new banner &/or icon. Cons: Some of us have different definitions for "big moments". What if some people think a scene is a "big moment" but others disagree?? How would that be fairly handled? Also, what happens if one week a "big moment" happens & we change the banner 2 days later, then the very next week - another "big moment"! I said it in the original pick & I'll say it again, i find this option to be kind of disrespectful to the people making banners/icons for the spot. How would YOU feel if you worked really hard on a banner, it won as the new look & then less than a week later you've got people going, "OMG we have to change the banner & icon because DE blah blah blah." With all that being said, please take each option in to careful consideration before you make your decision. And remember - whichever option wins, that's what we'll stick to. Making banners & icons isn't magic, you can't just snap your fingers and it appears. I don't make banners or icons, but I sure as hell know how hard it is to make and I can only imagine how frustrated it can be to constantly have to make a new one every time. You should have added more precise option in your pick if "big moment" happens every episode according to you. There should be such obvious option as once a season. We change the spot look to fit that moment. Then let's say the next episode comes the next day and another even bigger moment occurs! Oh! Let's change the spot look again after having the new one for a day! ... There's so many things that won't work with that option & will only cause more disagreements and problems. I just don't understand how you can say that you're sick of all the changing, and then pick an option that will basically mean changing every 2 freaking weeks. It's not ME that thinks everything is a big moment, but look at the way this pick is going, look at the comments and complaints that people are constantly making about the icon, etc. My issue with changing it "any time a big moment happens" is that it's been proven many times that some people on this spot are impatient and want to change things CONSTANTLY. I'm sorry if that offends me on behalf of all the banner makers that work so hard to produce quality banners/icons, but I'm not going to stop pointing out how ridiculous it is to ALWAYS be talking about changing stuff when it's just been changed. && to MysteriousWitch - Excuse me?? Nobody is "obsessed with creating banners and winning picks". That is just rude and totally untrue statement. What? Because some of us are offended over people disrespecting the banner makers, that makes us obsessed? NO. For MONTHS there have been endless arguments over the spot look, all that I'm doing with these picks is trying to get it organized and stop all the fussing. But i don't appreciate the fact that people who in NO FREAKING WAY contribute to making the banners and icons, they seem to think there impatience is more important than what is actually best for this spot.
