Daniel Radcliffe snapped up to nyota in The Amateur Photographer Hogwarts graduate prepares for life post-Potter with Christopher Monger romp set among the frisky residents of a 1970s US town

His long sojourn in the Harry Potter hotseat will soon be behind him and Daniel Radcliffe is beginning to line up the inayofuata stage of his career. Variety reports he will nyota in the indie comedy The Amateur Photographer, as a young man who discovers an artistic bent and a salacious side after arriving in a quiet New England mill town in the 1970s.

Christopher Monger – the polymath behind The Englishman Who Went Up a kilima But Came Down a Mountain – is again directing from his own screenplay, based on his own novel of the same name. The storyline sees Radcliffe's character become the unofficial chronicler of the town's "intimate moments of the most intimate variety", and sees him battling with the (presumably horror-stricken) local authorities. In fact, it sounds like the sort of film Monger's erstwhile pal Hugh Grant might have been aliyopewa first bite at a few years back.

Radcliffe clearly plans to keep busy post-Potter. He recently completed filming on Hammer Films thriller The Woman in Black, in which he plays beleaguered lawyer Arthur Kipps. The Jane Goldman-scripted movie is a new adaptation of Susan Hill's 1983 ghost story and will be the first horror movie shot in England kwa Hammer Films since box office flop The Lady Vanishes in 1979.

However, before audiences begin to get used to the inayofuata stage of Radcliffe's career, there remains the small matter of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, the final-final-final instalment in the long-running ndoto saga. The film is currently in post-production and is set for release in July 2011.
