It has been two weeks since the death of Danny's family. He was sitting on couch, staring at the tv. The only thing on was static. None of the lights were on, and the entire house was ice cold. It's been like this since he gotten nyumbani from the hospital. He was thin and frail. He hadn't eaten. Nor did he sleep. He was very pale as well. He looked like a living corpse. All of his senses were numb.
Someone knocked on the door. He didn't answer. The knocker opened the door. It turned out to be Vlad Masters. Danny didn't songesha au acknowledge him. He continued staring at the static on the tv. Vlad turned his head in Danny's direction. "Aren't wewe going to try to force me out, Daniel? au even argue?" He asked. Danny didn't respond. Vlad raised an eyebrow. "Daniel? Hello? Daniel? Can wewe hear me? Daniel!" He shouted at the young halfa. Vlad then turned off the tv in hopes to get Danny to come back to reality. He did.
"Vlad?! What are wewe doing here?!" He shouted. Vlad laughed.
"I came to set things straight with your father. To apologize for my hivi karibuni behavior." He answered. Danny's mood darkened even more. Vlad noticed this and became puzzled. Danny open his mouth to speak.
"If that is the reason you're here, then wewe wasted your time. They're not here." He rose his head. Vlad nearly gasped. Danny looked sick, pale and thin, and stained from tears.
"Danny, why are wewe so thin?!"
"None of your business. Leave me alone."
"Where are your parents?"
"Cemetery Road, forever. Along with my sister."
"What?" Vlad took a sekunde to realize what Danny meant. His eyes widened. 'That would explain why Danny is like this. Now he is even zaidi like like me. Alone.' Vlad thought. "What happened?"
"Leave me alone, Vlad."
"No, Danny. Not until wewe tell me what happened." He looked at Danny's frail body. "And eat. When was the last time wewe ate, anyway?"
"I don't know when I last ate, nor do I care. Leave."
"Daniel, stop being so stubborn. wewe aren't well!"
"So? Why do wewe even care?"
"My boy, enemies au not, wewe are still a child. And Maddie's of all children."
"Whatever. Like I care."
"If wewe really thought that, wewe wouldn't have asked me why."
"Fu- I mean, leave me alone."
"Were wewe about to swear, Daniel?"
"Yeah, so? I corrected myself, didn't I?"
"Yes, wewe did. However, back on topic..." Vlad grabs Danny kwa the arm. "You are going to eat and explain what happened, even if I have to force you."
Danny phased out of Vlad's grip. "I don't have to if I don't want to."
"Yes, yes wewe do." Vlad hit Danny with a ray. Although it didn't hurt the young halfa, it temporarily turned off his powers. Vlad grabbed Danny kwa the arm again. He dragged him into the jikoni and forced him into a chair at the table. Vlad then mgawanyiko, baidisha himself into two. One kept an eye on Danny while the other prepared a meal for the boy. Once the meal was made, he handed it to Danny. "Eat." He said. Danny reluctantly ate. He didn't speak. When he finished, his face had increased in color. But his mood was still glum.
"Car crash." He said. "They died in a car crash."
