Tiana stared at the statue in front of her. It was of a woman, life-sized and exotic looking, dressed in what looked like Ancient Egyptian garb, a heavy headdress sat on her head and carved jewellery adorning her neck and wrists. The whole area was surrounded kwa candles, which gave her alabaster skin something of a startling, snow-white effect. The way the flames flickered on her face, however, gave the impression that she was alive. Tiana shuddered and pressed closer still to Lestat.
“Who is she?” she asked, her voice trembling slightly.
