awali Playlists:
Snow White: link
I like making playlists on my ipod for all of my favourite characters from all kinds of media. Sometimes the songs don't fit the characters and are just there to capture the symbolism from objects, wanyama au magic used in the film. I've made a playlist for a few of the Princesses and it's time I shared them with you. I'll add lyrics that I think relates to them the most.
Symbolism: Attic, Miracles, Sparkles, Dancing, Glass Slippers, alternate universe - shattered dreams
The Attic from A Little Princess kwa Patrick Doyle
- We don't know when cinderella became a servant but if she was put in the attic as a child just after her father had died au a few days later, this is how emotional she would be. To be honest I've noticed similarities between A Little Princess and Cinderella. Lavina and Drizella have similar attitudes for example. Miss Minchin and Lady Tremaine are both dhahabu diggers and are played kwa the same actress. It's the little things like that which make me think of cinderella when watching A Little Princess and vice versa

Miracles Happen kwa Myra
- Cinderella's faith and The Fairy Godmother
link
Miracles happen, miracles happen
wewe showed me faith is not blind
I can't imagine living my life without wewe now
Not ever having wewe around
We found our way out
(on wewe I can depend)
There is no swali we found the missing pieces
Our picture is completed
It's fallen into place
(it's fallen into place)
This is our moment, wewe and I are looking up
Someone is watching over us
Keeping me close
Closer to wewe everyday
I Dreamed a Dream from Les Miserables kwa Anne Hathaway
- In the garden after her dress is ripped, before Fairy Godmother arrives. Also when Tremaine breaks the slipper in the sequel and leaves her in the house all alone with only the mice as company
link
I dreamed a dream in times gone by
When hope was high
And life worth living
I dreamed that upendo would never die
I dreamed that God would be forgiving
Then I was young and unafraid
And dreams were made and used and wasted
There was no ransom to be paid
As they tear your hope apart
And they turn your dream to shame
I Wanna Dance with Somebody kwa Flip & Fill
- Notice in all films, cinderella and Charming only dance at night. Passionate kisses - night time only.
link
Oh, I wanna dance with somebody
I wanna feel the heat with somebody
Yeah, I wanna dance with somebody
With somebody who loves me
Somebody... somebody who loves me, yeah!!!
Somebody... to hold me in his arms, ooh!!!
I need a man who'll take a chance
On a upendo that burns hot enough to last
So when the night falls
My lonely moyo calls
