(note: Formerly called Merriment in the Enchanted Castle. I later chose this name in order to make it zaidi clear what the story is about.)
In the morning one siku in a nice ngome with a luscious exterior, the sky began to become light, and the birds outside were chirping with the rise of the sun. This morning began just like every other morning did, and in the castle, where all sorts of madness happened just recently, a royal prince and princess slept contentedly.
The chirping outside was not enough to let the princess continue to sleep. When she woke up, the princess crept out of her kitanda quietly, opened the windows, and put her elbows on the window ledge to watch the sun rise.
She was not an ordinary princess. In fact, had she not married her husband, she would never be a princess. She was named Belle, and she was very beautiful as her name suggested. Yet she was zaidi than a beautiful damsel. Belle had a streak of independence and intelligence that few other girls in her town had. As she stared out of the window, Belle wondered out loud, “I wonder if there are any other girls my age who think like me and are not like the other ones in my town? Are there other girls who would be fun to talk to?”
Belle watched the doves sing and she was content, because for the first time ever, Belle was satisfied with where she was. She was now with her true love, and she was content with her location. Belle originally met her upendo as a beast, and the two of them originally had a somewhat rocky relationship, where the two of them frequently quarreled.
After the beast saved Belle’s life, they spent zaidi time with each other, and if they were not happy before, their feelings of unhappiness abated. Belle spent time with the beast until she went to her nyumbani to save her father, where she helped him get better, but she also let Gaston, the rude nasty village hunter, know about the beast in the process.
The beast and Gaston fought on juu of the very same ngome that Belle was inside in, and there the beast survived the fight, but he nearly died to save Belle. However, Belle told the beast that she loved him, and with those words, the beast came back to life, but he changed into his princely form.
Even so, Belle’s husband still had a hot temper and his impatience, but his upendo for Belle was still present and the two of them got along very well. Belle’s husband, even though his name was Prince Adam, often wanted to be called Beast kwa Belle as a pet name, even though he turned much nicer when he returned to being a prince.
After a bit of time, Belle decided to go into her wardrobe, and was a bit sad to find that the wardrobe did not respond like it used to. When Beast was a beast, all of the servants in the house were cursed with him, and so thus they were all talking household items. When Beast became human, so did all of his servants, and while Belle felt happy that they were all human again, she could not help but feel a little bit nostalgic that the wardrobe would not answer happily like she used to every time Belle opened her drawers.
Even though Belle was a princess, she often did not dress frivolously. Her dhahabu ball kanzu, gown she seldom used except for dancing. For casual purposes, Belle still wore her blue peasant dress and her apron that she wore before she was a princess. She got on her inayopendelewa blue dress and then glided over to the mirror to put her blue bow in her hair to form her ponytail. Afterward, she slid on her brown shoes, and then decided to wake up her prince.
“Beast!” Belle whispered in his ear. “Wake up!”
Beast rolled around in his bed, and stated, “Oh, good morning Belle…”
Beast stretched in kitanda as Belle tiptoed around the kitanda and rejoined him in the spot where she slept.
“How were your dreams, Beast?” Belle asked compassionately.
“They weren’t bad, thanks,” Beast stated happily. “I have to say Belle, ever since wewe came into my life, my dreams were much better than they were before. wewe really helped out my life a lot!”
“Same with me,” Belle nodded before she turned to Beast and stated, “Before I met you, I was tired of being stuck in my little town all the time. But now that I met you, I discovered life is truly worth living and can be just as good as the life in all my vitabu I read!”
Beast stated, “Belle, there has been something on my mind for quite a long time.”
“What is that?” Belle asked curiously.
“Well, it has been a whole ten years since anybody besides wewe and my servants noticed that I existed. So I am going to meet a few foreign princes and talk with them.”
“Can I come with you?” Belle requested excitedly.
“Belle, I am afraid I cannot do so,” Beast stated sadly… “This is an event for princes only, and they cannot bring their spouses. This was specifically stated in the invitation scrolls.”
Belle paused for a moment. She did not want to stay in the ngome alone, since she would have loved to travel with the Beast! But on the other hand, Belle realized that she had no choice but to stay here.
“My servants will mostly be busy accompanying me on the trip,” Beast stated. “However, I will leave a few servants here to tend wewe and help out with the house along with you. The house would probably need cleaning after all, and the servants are zaidi than willing to do that stuff. I just need to think about which servants to leave here…”
Beast got out of kitanda and stated, “Good-bye Belle, I will check in on wewe one zaidi time before I depart.” And with that, Beast left their bedroom, leaving Belle to lie down in kitanda and stare outside as the sun’s rising finally finished.
