i ask the question because we often compare these two but i think that expect the fact that they are both brave i think they are not very similar Phillip is more cocky ans flirty while Eric is more calm and humble and less flirty

Actually (at least in my opinion), Eric has a personality and Phillip doesn't have one at all. Pretty much as opposite as it can get in that department lol.

Their vibe is different but some personality traits are similar. They are both kind, heroic, brave, calm, romantic, masculine, easygoing, dignified, gentle. And I agree with what you said Eric is humble and Philip is confident or cocky (not in a bad way).

i don't know why people keep saying Philip doesn't have a personality but Eric has, in fact they're actually pretty similar. Both are gentle, heroic, brave, romantic, and charming. I agree with Magicworld and Quishy that Philip is somehow cocky, flirty, and confident, and Eric is more humble and calm.

Phillip is more confident, I wouldn't necessarily say cocky but he's a lot more bold in his attitude and demeanor. Eric is more reserved & humble- he wouldn't just catch a random girl offguard in a forest and start dancing with them. They approach things differently. I also think Phillip is more witty.

I mean they do share some similarities and on the surface seem pretty much the same (brave, chivalrous etc), but those are pretty basic traits and they have enough about them to make them different. Phillip is more of the classic fairytale Prince 'archetype' whereas Eric, while sharing some traits, seems more modern and relatable to me.

Phillip is also more, well, boyish. Not in terms of being immature, but he has this "devil may care I go for it" attitude, and he doesn't really worry about looking ridiculous while doing something. And he openly buckles traditions which Eric tries more to work around the expectations set on him.

Also, Phillip is a great dancer, Eric prefers to play his flute. That says a lot about them, because dancing is something you usually do in a crowd, an activity which requires contact, while playing the flute is something you mostly do on your own.
