Draco’s P.O.V:
I was on my way to Potions Class. I passed kwa an unfilled room just near the Room of Requirements. All of a sudden, I heard giggling and moaning (of pleasure, of course) from the room. I stopped. At first, I didn’t care whoever it is inside it… But moments passed and I heard a familiar voice. Her voice. Could it be her?
“No!” I simply said, softly. So soft that even an ant could barely hear. I tried to convince myself that it wasn’t her, but I just ended up unlocking and opening the room.
To my surprise, I caught her snogging the most annoying, obnoxious, blood-traitor little Weasel.
She quickly pulled away when she saw me. She turned flush.
I looked down on the floor as if I was examining my shoes.
She quickly release weasel boy and pushed his hands away from her hips (which was, of course, wrapped tightly).
She approached me and alisema my name. My first name. It was so sweet that I almost forgot what she was doing with Weasley a couple of moments ago.
She caresses my left cheek with her very comforting hands and said,
“Dra- Draco… I’m so sorry!”
I looked up and saw her eyes, now filled with tears. My moyo says,
“Go ahead! Forgive her! Give her a sekunde chance! wewe upendo her, right?”
But my mind… It was the complete opposite of what my moyo dictates. It says,
“No! She lied to you! She was snogging Weasley! She only needs wewe when she wants to be comforted! wewe hate her used to be, right? Then, what’s the reason not to hate her even more, NOW?!”
Her left hand was still pressed to my cheek. Suddenly, I grabbed her wrist violently and shove it off of my face.
I glared at her. And turned on my heels, and left.
Only one thing occurred in my mind that very moment…
I really couldn’t have her all to myself, coz she always belonged to somebody else!
Hermione’s P.O.V:
(A little earlier after Draco found her snogging Ron)
I was walking along the corridor, alone, heading towards the Potions Classroom.
When somebody grabbed me and pulled me inside the vacant room near the Room of Requirements.
I squealed and shrieked at first, but later on I was greeted kwa my ex- boyfriend, Ron.
Well obviously, Ron and I dated just after the war, but I didn’t expect him to cheat on me with none other than (you would not believe this) the pug faced, annoying, soulless bitch, kahaba I have ever known. Who? Pansy Parkinson. The best girl in Hogwarts known for the title as “Boyfriend- stealer goddess”.
She, of course had steal other girls’ boyfriends.
For instance, Harry.
He and Ginny dated a couple of weeks after the war. They were so cute together, in fact in the mid-summer ball organized kwa Headmistress McGonagall, they were awarded as the best couple of Hogwarts.
Just right after the ball, Parkinson made her move. Harry was so drunk that night that even if he was kissed kwa Hagrid, (on the lips) he wouldn’t care.
So it happens. I felt bad about Ginny when she found out. She never ate, never attended any of her classes, and never came out of her dormitory for 3 whole days.
Thank God, Harry was so determined to win her moyo back and also to gain her trust again. He did everything that would make her happy and she did.
Now, they were about to get married. (Can wewe believe that?)
I just wish my upendo life would be like Ginny’s! I wish I could find someone to upendo me for who I am and never lie to me.
So, Ron and I broke up and then I found him. Draco Malfoy. He was not so loathsome au annoying au a heartless ferret, (just like how he was used to be) anymore. He’s… CHANGED! That’s what makes me so open to him. He’s been my companion through thick and thins while Ron and I broke up, he’s been there to comfort me, and he is always right beside me. That is why (even though it’s hard to admit) I, with no difficulty, fell in upendo with him.
I have no idea what I was doing in the room with Ron at that time.
But whatever it is, I shouldn’t be doing it. I tried to break free from his tight grip but it was no use. So, I just let myself be carried away kwa the flow.
I want to pull away but every time I opened my eyes, it wasn’t him I see.
It was Draco. Draco.
That is why I don’t know whether I should pull away au just deepen the kiss. It was all confusing. I blamed hallucination. Hell!
Suddenly, the door flung open.
He was there. He looked from Ron, to me, and then finally decided to just look away and face the floor.
I turned red and was so ashamed. I took Ron’s arm off my waist and approached him.
I gently stroke my palm to his pale, soft cheek.
Tears started to form in my eyes because seeing him being in a hurtful state upsets me…
But seeing him cry and being hurt because of me is even zaidi painful.
He gets a grip on himself and threw my hand away from his face.
I couldn’t believe it! It was the first time he did that to me.
Only one thing occurred in my mind that very moment…
I really must’ve hurt him badly!
Normal P.O.V.
~FLASHBACK~
It was passed midnight and Hermione was still inside the library, researching for their homework in Charms Class.
A few moments later, Ron passed kwa the library.
Hermione thought that he didn’t saw her. So, she stood from her chair and was about to follow him but her jaw dropped to the floor as she realized that he wasn’t alone.
Pansy was there.
They were grinning at each other for a few moments, then Pansy snaked her arms around his neck. Their lips met.
She watched them snogging with a tearful eyes.
Suddenly, she approached them and shoved the book she’s holding to Ron’s back. (Which was facing her & Pansy was pinned against the wall)
Ron pulled away. And saw a crying Hermione watching as they eat each others putrid faces.
“Her-Hermione, I---“
“No! I don’t need to hear them Ron.” She alisema as she ran away.
She found herself in a dark place illuminated only kwa the moon. It was (in her opinion) the tallest part of Hogwarts.
“Granger.”
A voice behind her caused her to turn around and was greeted kwa a blond boy.
She could easily identify him even though he’s face was hidden in the darkness.
His voice had been the most annoying sound that had irritated her ears for the past 6 years of her life at Hogwarts. Mainly because of him, always throwing insults at her.
“What do wewe want?” she asked in an annoyed tone of voice.
“Why are wewe here?” he responded, not answering her question.
“I should ask wewe the same question.”
“Well, I usually come here during the night! I like the view.”
“Really? I didn’t know wewe could appreciate nature’s beauty now, Malfoy.”
“Used to be. I don’t”
“Well, then, how come you’ve learn to upendo it?”
“Long story.”
One moment of awkward silence…
Finally, Draco decided to broke it.
“So, what bought wewe up here?” he asked.
“I---I wouldn’t want to talk about it?” she answered, solemnly.
“Why not?” he asked again.
“Because… because I can’t!” she just replied.
“This is about Weasley again, isn’t it?”
She nodded, looked away from him and started to let out a soft sob.
It was an awkward time for Draco, for his weakness was to see a girl crying, au sad, au sorrowful.
All this makes him vulnerable.
Suddenly, Draco (not knowing what to do) pulled Hermione, embraced her, and starts to comfort her.
“Don’t---Don’t cry. Please!” he begged.
She slowly looked up. Their eyes met.
Draco decided to look away but Hermione dragged his face towards her, slowly leaned mbele and kissed him. Just kissed him without a single word.
She pulled away, a couple of moments later.
“I---I’m sorry!” she said, the moment her lips left his.
“It’s---its okay!” he said, not looking at her.
“I really am sorry! I was never meant to do that! I was just so carried away kwa my emotions, I---“
He silenced her kwa planting another kiss on her soft lips.
Draco wished for the time to froze so that he could just stay there with her, not caring about the world and the people around them.
Slowly, their lips parted.
She walked out of the Tower not giving him one single glance.
THE inayofuata DAY:
Hermione tried to avoid Draco the whole siku but she just can’t.
“Hey!” he called as she made her way through an unending crowd.
“What do wewe want?” she said, still facing the floor as she walk.
“Will wewe please look at me!” he alisema impatiently.
“No. I have to get to class.” She responded.
“Hermione!”
She stopped. Stopped as he mentioned her first name.
“What?!” she said, facing him completely.
“Are wewe avoiding me?”
“No.”
“No?”
“No!” she alisema impatiently.
“I’m sorry for what happened last night!” he said.
She did not reply. She only looked down again.
It was so romantic. There they were, standing in a middle of a crowded corridor, talking and apologizing about what happened the night that changed their feelings towards each other.
Draco approached her even zaidi and said,
“To be honest, I sort of—sort of like what happened last night.” He merely said, still looking at her. His gaze never leaves her.
She turned flush.
“Well, I--- I thought I’d liked it too!” she alisema with a timid smile.
The kengele rang.
Hermione glance up at him once more, gave him a small smile and left for class.
2 weeks later:
Draco and Hermione became friends. Very good friends. They like each others companionship; they upendo to talk about how to work things out, and sometimes, even act like a couple.
“Ever wonder what our lives could be when we both like each other from the beginning instead of hating one another?” she asked.
“It wouldn’t be so bad at all. Only that my gutless father will not approve. That stinking git! wewe know, my greatest mistake was following in his footsteps. Its as good as jumping off a cliff au being buried alive.” He said, annoyance and frustration was visible to the tone of his voice.
“I’m sorry.” She said, gently.
He confusedly asked,
“What for?”
“Hating wewe for 6 whole years. I should have known wewe better before I have judge you. Plus I shouldn’t have punched wewe in third year.” She alisema with a little giggle.
“Fair enough! I deserved that ngumi, punch for calling wewe Mudblood!” he responded.
She barely looked at him after she said,
“Please, don’t mention it anymore. I think it’s time to forget the past, live a new life, and finally songesha on.”
“Yeah, forget about Weasley and instead, be with me.” He alisema with a wink.
She playfully punched his arm as he chuckles and said…
“I was only joking!”
“Well, it’s not funny so quit it!” she alisema pouting.
This, in Draco’s opinion, makes her a lot of cuter.
_END OF FLASHBACK_
2 weeks. It just took 2 weeks for them to become friends. (and well, develop feelings for each other)
2 beautiful weeks, according to Draco. Weeks he had hoped not to end. Weeks they both hoped that will last ‘til eternity.
And then, it all changed. Just changed with a blink of an eye. The events were too fast for their own accord. Even faster than the lightning itself.
All their beautiful memories together had just vanished into thin air. It just floated away. Carried away kwa the wind.
Never had they imagined that all their happy memories would end like this. That it would end as a tragedy.
For 1 whole week, they’ve never talked neither communicate nor say a single word to each other.
Hermione, longing for Draco’s eyes, lips, smirks, laughs, his silver eyes and his everything decided to find him.
She ended up walking at the Astronomy Tower and finds him staring at the, now setting sun.
“Hey.” She greeted.
He turned to face her.
“Hi!” he greeted back.
“What are wewe doing here?”
“Just admiring the setting sun. wewe know, Nature’s beauty.” He said, with a small smile.
“What about you?” he added.
“Well, actually I’m looking for you.” She explained.
“Why?”
“To say sorry.”
“It’s okay. Just forget it.”
She smiled.
“Great! So, maybe we could start again?”
“Well, uh—I can’t.” he said
“Why not? wewe like me I like you. Why can’t we be together?”
“Because I can’t.” he just replied.
“You can’t? That’s not what I want to hear! Why can’t you?” she asked again.
“Because… I’m engaged!” he shouted.
“Is that what wewe want to hear? Is that what makes wewe happy? I’m getting married in 3 days.” He added, tears now threatening to fall down his pale face.
She could not believe what she just heard. She could feel her moyo cling tightly and then shattered into millions and millions of pieces inside her chest.
The wound she had when she was tortured were nothing compared to the one in her moyo right now.
Pain. Sorrow. Regret. Hatred.
All possible emotions she could feel that very moment.
She was gravely in pain, for the man she had known and learned to upendo this past 2 weeks was, unfortunately getting married in 3 days.
Sorrowful, for she doesn’t know what would happen to her now. Now that he’s gone.
Full of regret for letting him go. And making the biggest mistake of her life.
And Hatred. Hatred towards herself, towards Ron, towards Draco, towards the world and towards fate.
“Why?” she asked, tears now escaping her eyes.
“I don’t know!” he alisema softly, trying to avoid making eye contact with her.
“Draco, look at me.” She commanded.
“I can’t.”
“Why not.”
He did not answer.
“Draco, why not?”
“Because, just looking at wewe in the eye and I could change my mind.”
Hermione took a step forward, closer to him.
While crying she said,
“I’m sorry! I’m sorry I have hurt you! I’m sorry I did what I did! I’m sorry I can’t turn back time…”
Sobbing, she looked away from his direction and decided to left, but he spoke…
“Hermione I—I want wewe to know that even though she’s the one I married…”
She faced him.
“You’ll always be the one in my heart.” He added.
“I’d go back in time and change it. But I can’t! I can’t Draco! I couldn’t! I really couldn’t!” she replied, still whimpering.
She turned her back on him and slowly walks off the tower.
19 years later…
Hermione was at platform 9 ¾ now. But she wasn’t the one who’s attending Hogwarts anymore.
“Be careful, okay! Don’t get into fights!” she reminded her daughter.
Rose Weasley. Her eldest, as she waved her goodbye from the now leaving train to Hogwarts. She was aboard the train with her cousins Al & James.
“Mum, can we go nyumbani now?” asked an irritated young boy.
“Yes we can.” She responded.
“Aren’t wewe going to miss your sister?” she added.
“Not much!” Hugo said. (Hugo Weasley was her younger child)
“Why not?” asked Lily, Harry and Ginny’s youngest.
“Because, she’s a girl!” he simply said.
“Well, I’m a girl too.” Lily answered.
“Yeah! But your not as talkative as she was.” He retorted.
Ron carried him in his arms and said,
“I’m proud of wewe son!” with a smirk on his face.
“Git!” Hermione alisema softly, while a smile plays on her lips.
Harry & Ginny laugh as they watched Ron, Hermione & Hugo.
“We ought to go!” she added.
Harry picked Lily up and carried her just like Ron had done with Hugo. And they started to walk towards the exit of the train station.
They were halfway across it when Hermione noticed a familiar blond boy on one of the platforms to Hogwarts.
She gazed at Ron and said,
“You guys go; I’ll just have to use the loo.”
Ron, Harry & Ginny nodded and exited the station.
She approached him and noticed that he’s with someone.
“Hey.” She said.
He turns to face the figure standing behind him, for the familiarity of her voice.
“Granger?” he asked causing his wife to turn around too.
“No! Not anymore! Oh, I didn’t see wewe were with…” she hesitated for a moment.
“I want wewe to meet my wife, Astoria. We just dropped Scorpius. He got his Hogwarts letter last week.” He said.
“Scorpius?” she asked. A couple of sekunde later, realization dawned her.
“Yes. He’s my son.” He responded.
“Our son.” Corrected Astoria while reaching for Hermione’s hand and shaking it, with a decent smile plastered on.
“Astoria Malfoy.” She added.
Hermione smiled weakly.
“Nice to meet you! I’m Hermione…” she said.
She stopped for a moment as she turned her gaze towards Draco who is quite looking interested to know who the hell did she married.
“Hermione Weasley.” She simply alisema with a small smile.
Draco’s jaw dropped to the ground.
“She married Weasley? What the---?”
He was pulled out of his reverie kwa Astoria as she says,
“I’m going to go wait outside, Draco!” she alisema as she kissed his cheek.
Looking back at Hermione she said,
“Nice meeting you!”
And with that she walks off of the place and vanished.
“So, wewe married Weasley?” he asked, looking a little bit of nauseous.
“Yes! Actually I did. We have two lovely children and we are… rather happy!” she smiled.
Suddenly, Hermione heard her son’s voice. She turned and saw him running towards her.
“Mum! Mum! Can we eat now?” he asked as he approached his mother.
She looked up and saw Draco.
“Who are wewe Mr.?” he added.
“He’s a friend of mine, sweetheart!” she alisema as she carry him to her arms.
“Hello!” Draco joyously said.
“Hi!” Hugo responded.
“I’m Hugo Weasley! I’m a ginger and proud!” he added.
It made both Draco and Hermione laugh.
“Okay! Go to Daddy now and tell him to let wewe eat. Wherever wewe want to.” She alisema putting her son down. And giving him a kiss on the cheek.
“Okay!” the little boy replied as he skipped merrily towards the exit.
Draco gazed at Hermione in amazement.
“Why are wewe looking at me like that?” she asked sheepishly.
“You would’ve been a very good mother to my children.” He alisema softly.
“Pardon?” she asked.
“Hermione, remember what I alisema used to be?”
“No!”
“I married Astoria, but that doesn’t mean she’s the one I love.”
“Draco, please! We both have families. Our lives went separate ways. I moved on. wewe moved on. I choose Ron and wewe choose Astoria. Couldn’t we be friends, at least?”
He nodded.
“I’ll try.”
“You’ll try.” She answered.
“But honestly, I really couldn’t!”
Same thought entered their minds as they gazed at each other, smiled few smiles, and finally saying goodbye to each other and exiting the train station.
