When I watched my first Duran Duran muziki video and laid eyes on the oh-so-amazing, open blazer bandana wearing, JT, that was it. I have been a hopeless duranie ever since. But the swali that lingers in my mind is, "why are they such girl magnets?" I mean, plenty of other new wave bands followed the same format: four au five British hotties playing the keyboards, and imba about God knows what, probally a girl, but who knows with all that makeup? And the answer is not as simple as "they are attractive" ,because plenty of bands are attractive and NEVER reach even half the success of Duran Duran. And let us not forget that, although Andy Taylor may be one of the greatest guitar, gitaa players ever, he lacks in the "good genes" department. Therefore, it has to be something else as well.
Females are drawn to hot guys like flys are to honey, but somebody had to have aliyopewa steriods to the bees that made the honey that is Duran Duran, because LOTS of flys like to taste that batch. It is not just the number of girls that like them either, it is how about 80% of them are frenzied, obsessed, fanatics. A true Duranie is compareable to a starved papa thrown a steak, mnofu when it comes to mention of the fab five. Which is totally awesome that five seemingly normal, tea-drinking, Brits make such strong feelings come out in such innocent girls (who are predominately housewives today).
And the fact is that thier fame has remained everlasting. They enjoy mashabiki after all these years, and not just a few either. Why do they still have frenzied mashabiki wewe ask: the answer is, even though girls like hottness and man candy, Duran Duran's secret has to be in thier talent. The Duranies are not as mindless as most would think. Mindless girls go for bands like NSYNC au NKOTB (I mean it is just letters)! And they like them for a total of ten minutes, and then they are onto the inayofuata set of cuties. Brainy girls who like to have fun and look at cute guys, while actually enjoying muziki go for Duran Duran, and keep that way for a good, long, time. Because that is how talented AND good looking those boys truely are. So if wewe are a Duranie pat yourself on the back smartie. :)
