Edward qualifies many of his movies to be that of his generation. However, The Painted Veil, unlike any of his movies, caters to an older generation. I could relate to the emotions portrayed in the Painted Veil than I could in let's say, Fight Club. So, I'm glad he made The Painted Veil because then I was intrigued enough to watch all of his other movies. He's by far, one of the greatest actors of his generation. I hope that other Baby Boomers will check out this actor and his incredible range.

In the Painted Veil, Edward Norton was simply brilliant. No one could have portrayed the character Dr. Walter Fane as he did. He was serious, intelligent, caring, couragous, and virtuous. I've seen him in so many roles (ie. American History X, The Incredible Hulk, The Illusionist) and was already extremely impressed, but after seeing this film, I can honestly say I was blown away. I fell in love with his performance and character. He was genius.

No one has ever given so much heart and passion to a role as Edward Norton did. I believe this is one of his all time best films.

Its a beautiful movie and he was so hot in it!! Shame he died, though :(
