An Emmett and Rosalie Fanfic
Chapter 27
Emmett's Gone
Rosalie POV
I stepped up to my full length mirror to check my outfit one last time. I had my hair in tight curls which were in a bun with small ringlets around my face. My black dress fit my curves perfectly and my minimal makeup with nice red lipstick brightened my marble features. No doubt, I was the most beautiful person…ever…
But for some reason my beauty was becoming less and less…I don’t know…important.
I walked down the stairs and stepped into the kitchen. Esme was kusoma the newspaper on a kinyesi behind the counter with Carlisle, in his work uniform, kusoma over her shoulder.
“I’ve got to go, hun.” Carlisle whispered in her ear and kissed her temple. I took a step back to lean on the door and looked down to give them some privasy.
Esme whispered something back before Carlisle grabbed his medical bag from the table. “Bye Rosalie.” He rubbed my shoulder as he walked out of the kitchen.
“Morning, darling.” Esme greeted with a smile looking over to me. “You look nice.”
“Thank you, Esme.”
“Are wewe off to get Emmett some clothes that actually fit him now?” She laughed.
“Yeah.” I chuckled. “I’m just waiting for Edward.” I yelled his name throughout the house so he knew I was ready.
sekunde later we heard booming footsteps descending the stairway. “Hey.” Emmett roared from the hall with a huge smile on his face.
He stepped fully into the kitchen, but once his eyes locked with mine his smile lightened and became softer and caring instead of his goofy normal grin. I just gave him a gentle smile back and never broke out eye contact.
“Alright, let’s go.” Edward nagged.
Way to ruin a moment, Eddie.
I let out a sigh and looked at him.
“What size are you, Emmett?” Edward questioned.
“Uh? Well. I was an extra large before this…” he motioned to his now enormous body.
“We’ll just get wewe the largest size there.” I giggled and he nodded in agreement.
…
After hundreds of stares and an saa at the closet clothing shop, Edward and I finally made it nyumbani with a new full wardrobe for Emmett.
I walked in the house and found Emmett and Esme in the living room and stopped at the doorway. “Your back.” Esme smiled.
I nodded as I Edward came up behind me and placed his hand on my back ushering me into the house so he could close the front door. Emmett and Esme came up to greet us.
“Hey,” I whispered and handed Emmett the bag of clothes.
“Thank you, I appreciate it.” He thanked all of us.
“You’re very welcome, dear.” Esme cooed. “We’re planning on going on an evening hunt once Carlisle returns home. I’ve got to go make a few calls, but just be sure you’re ready once he arrives.” Esme announced before making her way to the kitchen.
We all went our separate ways after that. I headed upstairs to put on something less formal for our outing this evening.
…
After changing and letting my hair out of the bun, so the loose curls cascaded down my back, I left my room and began walking down the hall to the gues-Emmett’s room.
As I reached his room the sound of banging and grumbling.
I peeked in and saw him attempting to put away his new clothes but was failing miserably. Everything he tried to pull open au push even seemed to snap and crack under his touch. Even the simplest things were difficult in the first few months of being a vampire.
He looked incredibly aggravated…kind of like Royce did when kept fighting him as he…I took a step back and leaned against the ukuta in the hallway. I then shook my head and rid my head of those painful memories. I believe – no, I know – Emmett isn’t like that. No matter what wewe could always see the innocence and tenderness in him.
Maybe that’s why I trust him…I know he would never hurt me – on purpose.
Once I regained myself I stepped thru the doorframe as Emmett groaned again after pulling the whole drawer out of the dresser, I let out an almost silent giggle. Due to his over sensitive hearing he heard me and whipped his head around to see who was at the door.
“Are wewe alright?” I laughed with my hand over my mouth.
“Pfff. Yeah.” He alisema trying to sound cool. “No.” he mumbled under his breath.
I walked in and sat on his bed. “Everything I do shakes au cracks au breaks or…” he trailed.
“I know. You’ll get used to your new incredible strength.” I giggled.
He sighed.
“Trust me. It just takes a while. I know you’re not destructive on purpose.” I got up from my spot and walked over to him. “You’re like a gentle giant.” I whispered and gently touched his arm but quickly pulled it back once I realized what I had alisema and done.
My gentle giant……what am I saying?
“What did wewe have this problem, too?” Emmett asked pulling me out of my trance.
“Well, not this specifically.” I alisema motioning around the room. “But, I had my own…problems…to get through.”
I could tell he wanted to me to clarify but he left it at that. To my relief and gratitude.
All of the sudden the tension grew and the things became awkward.
“I guess I’ll see wewe later?” He alisema as zaidi of a question.
“Definitely.” I smiled.
I left the room but was met kwa Edward who would have run me down if I hadn’t stopped.
“Pathetic.” He seethed thru his teeth then shot me a smug smile.
Jerk.
…
“Ready Rosalie?” Carlisle asked me opening me, peeking into my bedroom.
“Mm Hm” I mumbled and glided off of my bed, throwing my magazine behind me.
“Can wewe get Emmett? I have to go change out of these clothes.” Carlisle questioned already walking away.
“Sure.” I whispered to no one.
I knocked on Emmett’s door but there was no answer. I waited for a few sekunde before knocking yet again, but I got the same response: nothing. I put my ear to the door but there wasn’t even a stir. “Emmett?” I called. Nothing. “Emmett, come on. Carlisle’s home, were going hunting.” Still nothing.
I huffed and opened his door without consent. “Come on…” I pleaded in annoyance as I walked in.
The room was empty...
