An Emmett and Rosalie Fanfic
Chapter 29
Ryan
Rosalie's POV
Then I heard it…it made me stop dead in my tracks…
The screams and the cries that were begging for mercy…
Emmett…
“Emmett! Stop!” I cried. “Stop!” I couldn’t see him but I just prayed he could hear me. It seemed like the screams were coming from every direction.
“Carlisle! Esme! Edward!” I yelled into the forest. Edward, please! I’m sorry. Please help!
There was a deep growl deep that came from directly behind me.
Emmett.
I whipped around and took off into the tick trees and bushes.
I pushed my way through the forest and could soon see a clearing in the far distance. “Emmett.” I prayed softly. “Emmett, stop.” The cries still surrounded me, slowly getting zaidi ear piercing. Even for a vampire.
I got closer and my pleas got louder once again. “Emmett, stop! Stop.”
Suddenly one of the everything stopped but was quickly replaced kwa a dreadful shriek. Then there was only silence. I knew what happened. Gosh, I knew what was going to happen the sekunde I realized he was gone but I refused to say - au think - it.
What only took about a dakika to reach seemed like hours, but I finally made it. I flew through the lush grounds then abruptly stopped once my eyes landed him…I panicked and stood behind a large tree, hoping Emmett would not yet notice my presence.
I looked out upon a small meadow, dead and dry. And then there he was: leaning over a small young and lifeless frame, draining it of all its blood.
“Emmett.” I whispered in disbelief. He hastily stopped drinking to scan the surrounding area before resuming his meal. I just stared at his face in disbelief. The look in his eyes made me jump back. His eyes were a vibrant red with the look of kill in his marble features.
I knew how dangerous Wanyonya damu were, especially when they had human blood flowing through their system, but Emmett’s strength and utter power could do such enormous damage on his own. It was hard – and frightening – to imagine him any zaidi violent and forceful.
I broke kwa eyes away from Emmett and glance around the small meadow. There were 3 other lifeless bodies only a few feet from him. I hadn’t noticed I was crying until I felt a wet drop on my chest.
There was an uneven, heavy breathing from afar and a speeding heartbeat. I looked throughout the trees only to see a little boy a few yards away. He couldn’t have been older than 6 au 7; he was cowering kwa a mti watching Emmett in terror. He was most like the inayofuata victim.
I didn’t know what to do. I couldn’t call the family, I really didn’t need Edward’s nasty maoni right now au Carlisle and Esme’s glance when they thought I wasn’t looking, so calling to him wasn’t one of my most desired options. I was on my own.
I wanted to get to that boy and get him out of this place before Emmett even noticed I was here. I was still hiding behind a few trees and wanted to stay hidden for as long as possible. No need to cause any zaidi trouble. So I began silently making my way around the meadow to the boy.
Yes, there was the threat of the small child exposing us if he did happen to get away, but if we took care of the bodies and hid our tracks, since he was so young most people would just think he had a nightmare au something like that. Hopefully.
I looked back to Emmett just as he threw the girl into the pile of other unfortunate people. He slowly stood and wiped the blood from his chin while he locked eyes with youngster. I hadn’t even gotten close to the child yet. Emmett began to stalk closer and closer over while the boy began to cower even farther away.
There was no way I could just stand here and watch Emmett kill yet another innocent person, especially such a young beautiful child. “Emmett.” I pleaded as I dashed out of the trees. He whipped his head around and his red eyes went wide. I slowed into a walk as I got closer.
“Get out of here, Rosalie.” He growled and turned back toward the boy who looked as if he could pass out.
“No, Emmett.” I yelled and stepped in front of him with my hands on his chest pushing him away. Wrong choice, Rosalie. Emmett took a forceful grip on my wrist and threw me across the meadow. I landed with a thud and Emmett turned his full attention back to the boy. It took me a sekunde to realize what had happened but I got up and rushed back over to him. This time I took a less…dangerous route and stood a few feet away from them both. “Emmett, wewe don’t want to do this.” I had to admit, the child’s blood smelled absolutely delicious, but I could resist it and I knew Emmett could too.
“I thought I told wewe to leave, Rosalie!” He spat thru his teeth.
“I’m not going anywhere, Emmett.” I alisema softly. I was going to talk him through this, no matter what. “This isn’t you. You’re caring, sweet, smart, protective…the complete opposite of everything wewe are doing right now.” He finally looked at me and the truth was: that scared me even more. Having to stare into his deep red eyes, I knew he could kill me in one movement. “This is my entire fault, and I’m so sorry. But wewe can stop this. wewe can change everything you’re about to do.”
“Rosalie!” He yelled in an effort to get me to stop. He was trying to refrain from hurting me but I wasn’t giving up.
“Look at those people over there, Emmett. Dead. Gone forever. They had families: children, parents, husbands who loved them. Just like this little guy. wewe can’t change the past but wewe can change his. Now look into his beautiful blue eyes. I don’t now a lot about wewe Emmett, but I do know you’re not a monster. wewe don’t want to hurt him, I know it’s but if anyone can do this it’s you.” I could see his shell starting to crack. “Just step away.” I whispered and rested my hand on his arm.
“I can’t.” Emmett admitted in a growl, he was truly struggling.
“Yes.” I sighed. Yes, wewe can.” He was so close. “You’re strong, Emmett.”
He stayed silent for a long time before he slowly stood up and backed away. I took a deep, yet unneeded, breath as a huge smile appeared on my face. The young boy stared at me in shock. He had no idea what was going on. I made sure Emmett was alright before turning back to the boy. “What’s your name, sweetie?”
“Ryan.” He sniffled.
“My name is Rosalie. You’re going to be just fine.” I noticed he kept looking past me so I followed his gaze, which led right to the more…unfortunate people. “Do wewe know one of them, hun?”
He turned his gaze back upon me. “My dwin sister. Sophie. Is…is she ok? She over dere.” He pointed with his tiny fingers. Oh no. I looked back at Emmett who was now sitting on a old log with his head in this hands, he must have heard that.
“I think she’s just scared. Why don’t we get wewe nyumbani little one?” I asked and kissed his hand. I was good with kids, I knew that, not that it mattered anymore. Stop Rosalie.[i] I didn’t need to pity my life right now. /
Ryan nodded as I wiped a tear that had fallen from his eye.
I took Ryan’s hand and helped him off the ground. I once again caught him glancing over to where his sister supposedly was. “What about Sophie?” he asked tugging on my arm.
“Would wewe like to go see her?” Ryan nodded once again and I sighed.[i] What was I going to say?
We walked over and Ryan let go of my hand to kneel down beside her. She was stunning, just like Ryan. Even if she was…dead. Sophia was exactly what I pictured a child of my own to look like. Curly blond hair, angelic features, fare skin. I could feel the tears coming. “What’s wrong with fer?” he questioned looking up at me. “Rosalie?”
“I think she is just sleeping, Ry. But, uhh, why don’t we try and get wewe home. Alright? Say goodbye.” I insisted. Ryan placed a gentle kiss in her forehead before reaching for my hand that I held out to help him up. I alisema a silent goodbye and sorry to Sophie too before walking in the other direction with Ryan.
We had only walked a few steps when I felt a tug on my wrist with a small thud; I quickly turned and looked down. Ryan was on the ground clutching his knee. “Ryan? Are wewe ok?” He let out a small cry and turned over so he was now sitting on his bum.
Everything happened in slow motion from then on. I leaned down over Ryan who now had a stream of blood trickling down his left knee. Then the inayofuata sekunde I was on the other side of the meadow once again. I sat up and was met with the scene I was most scared of.
“No, no, no.” I cried. “No!” Emmett had smelt the blood from Ryan’s knee and Lost all self control. He had pushed me out of the way to get to Ryan.
I was frozen. I couldn’t believe it but I just sat there and watch Emmett kill the young child I had come to care so much about, I had to look away though.
Once the body was completely drained Emmett stood up and just stated at me. I could feel his eyes on me but I couldn’t face him right now. After a while I finally realized he wasn't going to look away so I looked up and anger began to shoot through me. The Ryan's small frame caught my eyes first. I knew it was not Emmett’s fault all of this happened; he wouldn’t do this if he had a choice. This was actually mostly my fault, but right now he was the only one here to lash out at.
“How could wewe do this?” I yelled storming toward him.
“Excuse me?” Emmett yelled back so loud the trees shook.
“You killed him Emmett.” Now the sorrow in me was speaking. Emmett’s brows furred together and his face got scrunched up in anger. His hand went to my neck and he held me up to a tree. Fear shot through me, my first reaction was to pry his hands off of my neck but his strength was powerful. I intently regretted everything I alisema - and thought.
“What did I do?” Emmett asked in mocked. “About wewe Rosalie? You’re the one who did this to me. I thought wewe were supposed to be my babysitter? Huh? wewe let me do this.” All this words were true. Everyone. My eyes filled with tears.
“I know. I’m sorry.” Emmett’s hand tightened on my neck. I didn’t need to breathe but if Emmett squeezed my neck hard enough I could - au would - probably die.
“Oh come on. Stop crying, Rosalie.”
I was honestly scared of Emmett, I couldn’t believe it. I felt protected with him around and now with a squeeze of his hand he could kill me. I have never seen human blood affect a vampire like this.
“Emmett, please stop. You’re hurting me.” Again, as if his grip couldn’t get any tighter, it did. “Emmett. Please.” I choked out, looking into his eyes.
“Emmett.” Someone growled. “Put her down.”
“Why?” he laughed dryly.
“Emmett.” They alisema again. Carlisle.
“Please Emmett.” A sweet voice pleaded. Esme.
Emmett turned his head back to me and released me. I feel onto the ground and clutched my neck. Esme rushed over as did Carlisle.
“Esme get her home.” Carlisle asked simply after inspecting my neck.
She nodded and helped me up. She held on to my arm as we slowly exited the meadow. I saw Edward in the corner just watching, almost amused. I growled deep in my throat and Esme patted my forearm to calm me.
I took one last look at Emmett before I continued walking…
