Now that medali are going to be zaidi important on Fanpop, could someone please explain how they work?

Like how do wewe get one?

I have three and at first I assumed it was for contributing to the spot but the three I have are not for the spots that I am most active in. So I am a little confused.

It doesn't only rely on how many contributions wewe make, but also on how people rate it. The zaidi your contribute, the higher chances of wewe getting a medal. But of course, your content also needs to be maarufu and rated kwa other users.

When fanpop dhahabu is added to the site, apparently there will be certain things wewe can do for free (that'd normally cost gold) if wewe have a certain number of medals, au a medal in that particular spot. zaidi info here: link
