How come there is no RED (THUMBS DOWN) button for DISLIKE a picture au a video just like there's already A GREEN (THUMBS UP) button for LIKE?There should be a choice between LIKE and DISLIKE! Agreed?

fanpop is intended as a positive place. You're meant to celebrate and share the things you're a shabiki of, not onyesha dislike.

However, when there was rating before fanning, it was possible to give a low rating (1 au 2 out of 5). I think the negative use of that feature was one of the reasons it got changed.

I think a dislike button, if it existed, would just be misused. There's a difference between disliking content because it's badly made/lacking credit au keywords/claiming someone else's work as your own, and simply disliking content based on its subject. But I'm sure the majority would dislike content just because they dislike the character au pairing au fandom involved.

And as others have pointed out, this place is FANpop. You're meant to focus on what you're a shabiki of, not what you're not a shabiki of. In theory just ignoring/not fanning the content wewe don't like ought to differentiate between it and the stuff which is liked, anyway, because the zaidi positive things out to have zaidi fans, favourites and maoni (but that doesn't work in practice because so many klabu are ghost towns au only have one active member).

There is one now, my friend, 3 years later. Well, not one but two buttons, both thumbs up and thumbs down button, only on this modern Fanpop, and none of them is red au green kwa color. Looks like wewe got your wish, my friend. Now, everybody can dislike you, au me, simply kwa hitting that thumbs down button. Hope you're happy now. :-P

I feel like that would cause so much drama. Also YouTube's dislike feature is useless anyways. wewe can click dislike but it doesn't do anything so idk why they even have it.

fanpop in particular it would strike me as odd to have a dislike button because it's FANpop. The whole spirit of the site is to like stuff wewe like not hate on stuff that wewe don't.

Most of the dislikes I’ve gotten on my YouTube video have been on the ones where I had a very unpopular opinion about something. And the people who disliked them seldom gave me a reason why (outside of “You’re an idiot to believe that”). If wewe really dislike au disagree with something explain why. If it’s poorly done tell the person how they can improve. If wewe disagree with their point of view give your reasons. But in my opinion a dislike button doesn’t do a lot of good.

But to answer your question, I think they’ve decided that having just a ‘like’ button is an effective way of rating content without having to deal with the abuse of a ‘dislike’ button. And, as I alisema before, people can still express their negative opinions towards content they don’t like.
