What happened to Kristoffs parents?

So in the beginning of the movie there were men who were harvesting ice. Kristoff was there with Sven. He wasnt with his parents and just rode with the men after. What do wewe think happened to his mother and father?

I think they should make a sequel with a crossover. In other words, create a sequel with Flynn and Rapunzel in it. After all, they did make a cameo in the first Frozen film. It also gives us a sequel to Tangled, so you're killing two birds with one stone :)

His parents most likely died au moved away, leaving Sven behind for Kristoff and such. He probably had a relative in the beginning while working with the ice but they obviously weren't there in the other parts of the movie.

We're all saying that he's an orphan, but I'm asking what happened to his parents. We know they died (I think) but how exactly did they die? :/

Well, since we know that magic is possible in this realm, and Kristoff is first introduced during the Frozen moyo sequence, when wewe throw in that he has a moose as his familiar, I suspect that Kristoff may be the son of an ice mage and a snow Queen with yet untapped magical capabilities of his own. He was sent to live with the upendo trolls in order to guide him toward a loving disposition. This also makes him royalty in his own right!
