dropped a big tease this week as the lead-up to a big battle against Ramsay Bolton stepped up a gear.
House Stark suffered a difference of opinion in \'The Broken Man\', as Sansa and Jon disagreed over the next course of action. After mixed results on their tour of the North to acquire more forces to attack Winterfell, Sansa was spotted secretly writing a letter for help to be sent via a raven. But for whom was the note intended?
Unwilling to risk losing to Ramsay again, Sansa is clearly prepared to defy her brother by going against him and securing the services of an unknown ally. Let\'s take a look at the candidates:
Lest we forget, they were once married. And he was willing to help her when they were forced to be betrothed. However, his Lannister name would obviously cause a huge issue between her and Jon. But maybe this is the one way the Starks and Lannisters can join forces?
The most likely candidate was her former protector, before he royally f**ked her over by delivering her to Ramsay. But he seems incredibly sorry for what happened and was visibly disappointed to lose her as an ally. Now that he has the Knights of the Vale behind him, Sansa knows that he\'ll be necessary for her cause.
We\'re still hoping that the Umbers haven\'t actually sided with the Boltons and that they\'re ready to double-cross Ramsay at the last minute. Sansa clearly signed the letter \'Stark\' and used the family house seal - so it was potentially intended for another Northern family. However, if Umber is very much loyal to the Boltons, then she might be setting herself a very unfortunate trap.
Formerly loyal to the Starks and now allied with the Boltons, maybe they could be persuaded to return after dealing with all the crap from Ramsay? If they pledged themselves loyal to the Stark name - like Sansa pointed out to Lord Glover - they could make a comeback.
This would be pretty twisted, but perhaps Sansa engineered this whole thing in the first place? What if Ramsay didn\'t actually send that \'pink letter\' to Jon in the first place? And maybe she is now sending one to Ramsay (not signed \'Sansa\', just \'Stark\'). Maybe she\'s playing the Snows against each other and they have no idea. She means serious business at the moment, so we wouldn\'t be surprised.
