German shepherd lovers- please can wewe help:

I upendo german shepherds, and i have always wanted one. i know all about them and what's involved with owning one, but the problem is that i have lots of Cats and i'm worried that if i get a GS i might come nyumbani one siku and find it has killed one of them au something, because i know that they can be ferocious sometimes. i know that if wewe buy a GS as a puppy so that it gets used to Cats then it will probably be okay but i'm just a bit worried because wewe read in the papers about really nice mbwa suddenly turning and attacking, and my Cats wouldn't stand a chance if that happened. i've looked after other people's german shepherds and i know everything there is to know about the mbwa themselves, the only problem is the cats. i don't know what to do about my situation.
does anyone have any ideas?
is your german shepherd OK with cats?

it just depends if they grew up around cats. my gs and my cat are best Marafiki and i have had the cat longer than the gs...but....i had another gs before her and the gs and my cat didnt get along so it just depend on the gs

i kno its not the same but i have a st.bernaird/lab mix and he grew up with Cats and the only thing he does and rarely does is chase and if he does he gets in trouble so u can also teach your dog not to mess with them if they do they get in trouble

if they grow up together au just mainly if the gs grows up with a cat then it should be fine because then they will be used to it i kno its not the same but i have a st.bernaird/lab mix and he grew up with Cats and the only thing he does and rarely does is chase and if he does he gets in trouble so u can also teach your dog not to mess with them if they do they get in trouble hope that helps ^_^ and this pic is so cute give heshima if u like thanx

Well, I have a Pit ng'ombe not a GS, but I think they're cool all the same and I think if wewe get it as a puppy and keep it in a fenced off area for a while that he/she will slowly but surely grow around cats...

The cat that I had always slept and barley moved (zombie cat), so it didn't bother my GS. If wewe have a hyper cat, it MIGHT try to play of bite it. But I've never seen one attack a cat. Just birds D: I don't think it'll do any harm to them at all.
