After the police showed up at Meredith’s doorstep at the end of last week’s

, the question went from “Where is Derek?” to “What happened to Derek?” And in a promo for this week’s hour, Derek can be seen witnessing a car accident and attempting to help the victims. 

Now, we’ve got another sneak peek, in which we get a closer look at the accident. Although Derek doesn’t appear to be badly injured, he’s left to deal with multiple patients on his own, including at least one serious head injury and what we can only guess is multiple impact injuries … and he only has one tiny first-aid kit to help him. Let’s hope McDreamy finds a way to get creative (and stay safe).
