Right... coming from a HP fan... aren't we being a little bit hypocritical?

I think Twilight mashabiki are just as guilty as being mean on this site as Harry Potter mashabiki are. But I have yet to encounter a Harry Potter shabiki who goes so low as to insult the other persons ikoni because they dont like Twilight. See we may be mean but alot of it is because there are alot of Twilight mashabiki that are very immature. And then in the swali area, there have been times when posts from twilight mashabiki have been ilitumwa that are unreadable au say things like" who would like harry potter Stephanie Meyer is way better writer than JO Rowling." And when we ask WHY wewe guys like the series we get the reply " because Edward is hot". I rest my case.

I'm not an Anti, but I am a Harry Potter shabiki and I'd like to say that I agree with you. I see it all of the time in the spot from both sides. I can't understand why some people think that they are allowed to say something, but when someone says it to them, they get offended and call the person mean. And this spot is supposed to be a debate spot after all, and not a "call the other side the worst names wewe can while also degrading whatever they are a shabiki of," which is what this spot seemed to have transformed into.

Actually, there has been HP mashabiki that do give facts when it comes to criticizing Twilight. But I have to admmit that sometimes we get really childish and start saying stuff like "Twilight sucks" without giving any proof on why it does.

It's actually one of the things that pisses me off about SOME Twilight haters lately.

I also notice that some Antis throw insults at the mashabiki of Twilight here and there, even though most of them criticize the mashabiki for not respecting their opinions.

I'm absolutely fine with anyone with opinions that are different from mine, and I know a lot of awesome people who dislike Twilight :)

But how about we just cut the insults, and focus and stick to simple debates, like wewe said? :)

Well,...we can kwa hypocrites at times...but I think we cant really help ourselves....It's just that- no offence to any twilight fans- We can find so many problems with the books...and it's hard not to mention that so much....but yeah, I agree...we Harry Potter mashabiki could stop bashing Twilight so much...

Well i agree that we can be mean sometimes, but the thing is that we say bad things about the vitabu and not to the fans, unlike Twihards that say really mean things to us like "f**k off" au "dig a hole and jump in it" i mean this is a discusion about the vitabu and movies, there´s no need to say that.....

I agree, but we insult the book itself. Never before have I insulted someone simply for liking Twilight, which seems to be what some people do. And yes, I say awful things about Twilight, but I always back them up. I don't say "Twilight sucks, end of story", and honestly, most of the HP mashabiki actually do seem to use reason. It's the ones who don't that make us all look bad. I admit, sometimes I'm bad about it (I lose my temper and get an attitude) too. But I really try to be fair.

well look at it this way, they are probabaly just as big hippocrites as we are lol, but it does matter cuz we are both to prideful of our books

Im a HP shabiki & a Twilight saga shabiki as well. I agree that sometimes we take it a little bit to fare. But some of us think that's fine. As long as nobody starts crying that peoples arn't being nice. Than I think it's ok.

I think both sides are just as equal at fault. No one wants their book/movie bashed on and so when someone from an apposing team says au goes against their book/movie they attack. It's a cycle actually.

Why can't both sides just stop and admit that both are a legacy that is amazing and never will we forget either Harry Potter, au Twilight?

I agree completely. I've been trying to put zaidi friendly stuff on this spot, to try and get everyone to kind of cooperate and enjoy talking to each other. And I've been trying to be nicer, and stop getting into any fights, and stop any that I see. ^^,, I don't know if the fighting will ever stop, but I think we're a work in progress.

Well, Harry Potter mashabiki actually jump in the deep end of the lake and read Twilight. Most of us compare Twilight critically, from what we've read in the books. However, SOME (I repeat: SOME) Twilight mashabiki do not read Harry Potter, and they want to compare it base on the little they know. And they would say something like "harry potter sux!!1! its such a boring book! twilight is 1000000000X betta! tiwlight 4eva!11!!" (It's an actual quote too)

I think there is really only one major problem on this spot-fans that generalize and jump to conclusions.
One Twilight shabiki spells every word wrong: HP FAN: All Twilight mashabiki must be crazy!
One HP shabiki thinks Twilight mashabiki are crazy-TWILGHT FAN: Hp mashabiki all think we are insane!
These conclusions pit us against each other. I might have alisema this before, but I think we should start thinking of mashabiki as individuals instead of just one big group.
