The hints that SMeyer places in the Twilight series that lead to a greater plot later in the book are fewer than the ones in Harry Potter. I've actually been re-reading both series and recording whether or not each chapter has hidden information or introduces a mystery that is revealed or explained later in the book or series (those chapters count, too), and I'm about halfway through the last books of each series. The percentage of the chapters that have hidden information or introduces a mystery in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows so far? 100%. The percentage of the chapters that have hidden information or introduces a mystery in Breaking Dawn so far? 55%. This isn't even the amount of hints we get in each chapter, remember, this is only whether or not the chapter has things like that. I also appreciate JKR's references to mythology, constellations, and even The Lord of the Rings. I don't hate Meyer's writing, though. Her descriptions seem unnecessary and seem to drag on, but at least she's good at describing things, even if she gets too repetitive for me. And at least her books have hints or hidden information that appear later in the book, unlike some other books where they have one random event after another. posted zaidi ya mwaka mmoja uliopita.

The only problem with J.K.R's writing is you read the whole series once, then when you go back to reread it, Books 1-3 suddenly seem boring and tedious.
