being pureblood isnt the ability to do magic, its who your parents were, well What they were.

Being a half-blood is in your family.. A magical person pertains to one born of a magic family, one that are naturally wizards, unlike Harry, whose mother can do magic but the rest of her family cannot.

I see. I think that Jk's thinking is just a little flawed here, because if your grandparents were pure but your dad married a muggle, wouldn't that make wewe a quarter-blood? au wouldn't that make zaidi sense?

Anyway, Harry isn't the half-blood prince... Snape is. He made up the nick name for himself because he was proud of being half blood.

I am sorry to tell wewe that I know who this prince is. In the COS, Tom riddle mentioned that he and Harry are alike, that is to say,they are half-bloods.This made me ask the question.

JK's thinking isn't flawed at all; its genius. She based it apon how pureblood families on the dark side like the Malfoys would think. It's like how a lot of people call Obama black, even though he is only 1/2 that race.

Okay, I think I figured it out. If one of your parents is a pureblood and one is muggle born (whether they're a witch au not),you are a halfblood.

No, sorry. In COS AND OotP it says (and explains how/why) Harry is a half-blood. Snape is the Half-Blood Prince. Maybe wewe should take your own advice and read the vitabu and watch the movies.

Actually Dumldore, Voldemort, Snape, and Harry are all half-bloods. As is Tonks.
