what would it be like if Neville was the chosen one?

Hmm, a different swali and one that is both interesting but has no reason. But i will answer it. Lets see, well if the book series was called Neville Longbottom... it wouldn't get as many maoni and imagine if they make it into a movie 'Neville Longbottom and the Chamber of Secrets'. No one would be able to stop laughing au take the title seriously. Another thing, wewe couldn't have made much of a story line at Neville at Hogwarts. it would be a comedy, not so much of a action packed au dramatic film/book series. Well until the last few books.
Besides, what do we remember Neville to be? what kind of character is he? a clumsy, un-co, lives with his grandmother kind of guy. Also, for all those Neville mashabiki out there, i mean no offense to him. In they were to right a book series on him, no one would believe that he was the chosen one. Voldemort wouldn't even consider that he would be the chosen one (well who could blame the guy?! its Neville where talking about here!)

Okay, i might as well explain how the storyline would go au the 'plot' as some of us would call it. Well the series would feature a lot around his life as a child. why? the child was traumatized! seeing his parents being tortured then killed in front of him, the going to live with his grandma (you know the women that wears the weird looking clothing)and then going to Hogwarts in which people would still see him for him and a few events would still occurred.Strange, strange...

other than those few things, i don't think that Neville would have carried out the duty of being the chosen one like Harry did. Did Neville have the same people that Harry did? did he have the same Quidditch skills? having a Sirus Black as a godfather? etc, etc. All these things have to be considered... and besides... 'Harry Potter' sounds better with a British accent better then 'Neville Longbottom' i'm just saying :D

Well. In my opinion it would be awsome. Cuz Harry is starding to act like hes all that. I understand that he has access to Voldemorts mind. So that may be a reason why. But NEville is a really col person. He is not wat he looks like. He confronts people when he sets his mind . so i would be happy for him

harry became the chosen one bcuz voldemrt didn't want to kill his mother lily he wanted just to kill him...but she standed before harry so voldemort had no choice but to kill her... she sacrificed herself for harry
but neville....may be voldemort would kill his parents first and when they're away from him and then kill him...after killing him he would go to the potters house and try to kill harry and the same thing would happen and harry stills the chosen one

I Neville was the chosen one... hmmm... I don't think it would be the same because Neville is not as brave as Harry and it would kind of make for a slow story. But don't get me wrong, I still upendo Neville!

If he keeps his cool he'll probably succed I mean look at how he developed in the last book.

I read somewhere that, when the prophecy was made, Voldemort didn't know who it was out of Harry and Neville. This is partly why Neville's parents were totured kwa Bellatrix, a deatheater, and it was also partly the reason why Lily and James were killed.
I don't think this is entirely true, because it is pretty much explained in Deathly Hallows why Harry's parents died, but as for Neville's parents, we can wonder(just because they were in the Order doesn't mean that they were tortured solely for that).

If Voldemort HAD thought that Neville was the boy from the prophecy he would most likely be dead the night Voldemort came to their house. Not because his parents wouldn't die protecting him of course. Harry Potter only lived because Lily Potter was aliyopewa the chance to escape, she had a choice. She chose to sacrifice herself for her son. Voldemort would have no reason to give Alice au Frank the chance to live so no upendo would be protecting Neville.
However let's say he did give one of them a choice, his childhood would change drastically. Growing up in the wizarding world as The Boy who Lived would boost his confidence dramatically along with his Grandmother being proud of him other than nagging over how she wanted him to live up to Frank's standards. Neville is actually a skilled wizard he just never had the confidence in himself. That's why in the later vitabu we see such a change in him, he was always brave and skilled but he eventually just got zaidi confident in his abilities. If Neville had confidence in the beginning and a life long hatred of the man who killed his parents and others would that be equal to Harry's bravery and abilities? I think it is very possible that Neville would be able to bring down Voldemort if he had the confidence from the beginning and of course the right Marafiki because really Harry couldn't even bring dow Voldemort kwa himself.
