Harry Potter Swali

Why does Voldemort still let Snape work for him as a Death Eater after he had killed Lily, without ever thinking/suspecting Snape might hate him for killing Lily?

Has anyone ever thought about this? It's only natural for Voldemort himself to predict that Snape would hate him after killing Lily, especially when we know that Snape has made a special request towards Voldemort to spare Lily, which Voldemort completely ignored. So why did Voldemort still let Snape work for him as a Death Eater knowing full well that Snape might keep a huge grudge on him? au was Voldemort completely unaware that Snape made this request because he was in upendo with Lily? So, in other words, he was not aware of Snape's longtime upendo for Lily?

And remember that Voldemort is a very very well-planned and thoughtful person, he was also really great at kusoma people! So why was this so?

Harry Potter Majibu

Ichigo127 said:

the answer's been already aliyopewa in the last book..read this excerpt:
"Dumbledore is dead!" Voldemort hurled the words at Harry as in the marble tomb in the grounds of this castle, "I have seen it, Potter, and he will not return!"

"Yes, Dumbledore is dead," alisema Harry calmly, "but wewe didn't have him killed. He chose his own manner of dying, chose it months before he died, arranged the whole thing with the man wewe thought was your servant."

"What childish dream is this?" alisema Voldemort, but still he did not strike, and his red eyes did not waver from Harry's.

"Severus Snape wasn't yours," alisema Harry. "Snape was Dumbledore's. Dumbledore's from the moment wewe starting hunting down my mother. And wewe never realized it, because of the thing wewe can't understand. wewe never saw Snape cast a Patronus, did you, Riddle?"

Voldemort did not answer. They continued to mduara, duara each other like Mbwa mwitu loups about to tear each other apart.

"Snape's Patronus was a doe," alisema Harry, "the same as my mother's, because he loved her for nearly all of his life, from the time when they were children. wewe should have realized," he alisema as he saw Voldemort's nostrils flare, "he asked wewe to spare her life, didn't he?"

"He desired her, that was all," sneered Voldemort, "but when she had gone, he agreed that there were other women, and of purer blood, worthier of him "

that last paragraph that wewe have put in bold is indeed the most crucial part of this whole conversation, it must have been the very words that finally got Voldemort convinced.

Voldemort believed Snape's attraction to Lily had been entirely physical and that he got over her easily. He also believed that he was such a good Legilimens, no one could ever be skilled enough with Occlumency to trick him - but Snape obviously was.

I think voldemort probably didn't consider the fact that Snape made his request out of upendo for Lily(remember that voldemort doesn't understand upendo and hence doesn't recognize it when he sees it).He probably put down Snape's request to be a mere intention to save an innocent life. After all, voldemort probably didn't think much of the request anyway, since his sole intention at the time was to kill Harry.
